Started playing Mega Man Zero 3 today. Got past the introduction stage and beat one of the freaks of Neo Arcadia. After that, the came just owned me up something fierce. I need some Sub-Tanks badly.

Haha! I’ve now finished every chamber and have Super Mode. The ironic part: I just wanted to finish every chamber. I’ll prolly never even use Super Mode. Now, if I could get Super Alastor in the first game, I’d play the shit out of that. But that requires skills beyond my level, so… Not gonna happen.
sounds interesting, i wonder if it is the best gun in the game, in 2k4 the shock is basically the best along with the lighting gun (sniper rifle)…

Heh, that’s good to know that somebody else enjoys these games besides me. I was worried that the only other people playing the Jak games were little kids who thought the box cover art looks cool. When I saw that some reviewer on IGN gave Jak 3 a 96%, I was hoping that more people would give it a try and enjoy the games, but sadly I see no fanbase for this game which is a shame because I honestly think they’re the best new plateformers. Oh well…
Yep, I agree Jak 2 was the best of the series, and so far Jak 2 > Jak and Daxter > Jak 3, but I still beleive Jak 3 is extremely fun. Are you looking forward to the Jak combat racing game coming up? I know I am… the racing parts of the Jak games were always some of the most intense parts of the series.
hmm…I’ve never thought to rank the weapons before, but now that you bring that up, I’d say yeah…there’s probably potential for Shock Rifle to be the best gun…eh, I’d have to compare the damage it deals though compared to others of course…heh, I’ve only used it maybe 2 or 3 times at the most. But yeah, the primary fire is fast like a Sniper shot, which puts it over things like Rockets, Flak, and BioRifle with regard to “rejectability” of the shots…(*a main reason I pick Sniper as 2ndary gun is that it’s difficult or even near-impossible to reject that shot).
And then there’s trap potential…so I think it has a deeper level of strategic uses…heh, I’ve just never bothered to think for a sec about how it could be utilized in the best possible ways. (Sniper and Flak and “Booger Gun” are just too much fun to resist)
I’m hoping the lag can be worked out in a downloadable update…
speaking of updates—I guess it was just a matter of getting better…I tried Brock last night, and was doing much better than before. I see one problem though…Brock’s staff animation doesn’t hit completely around him like the other staff users do…so far it looks like he always has to be facing the person to hit them. It seems like you can just be sloppy and still hit with the other characters, even if the opponent is on the side of you…it at least makes sense with Raiden though, since his staff animation seems to be all over the damn place.(annoying bastard…it’s like if you’re close to a Raiden, you’re already dead. Shit is CONSTANT and hits everywhere. Bullshit.)

I ascend the difficulty ranks in UnrealChamp2—last night I beat some “Adept” bots rather easily…and surprisingly, it was with Brock…heh, I even scored a few “HEAD SHOTS”.(and a “RAMPAGE!”) haha…that might be the greatest videogame announcer voice ever.
“DOMINATING!” heh, I might play some Novice bots again today just to pump my ego up again by hearing “GODLIKE!”, “BRAIN SURGEON!”
edit—just finished another match…in a cool way too…Arclite shot a rocket from midair, and I was on a lower level…I jumped up and rejected it perfectly in midair, and that was the winning kill.
You use the Mortal Kombat announcer, or the Unreal announcer?
actually, I switched MK announcer voice on in the options…but I don’t remember a difference. Or…is it you just can’t tell right there in the options screen?
I just finished the Tournament ladder for Sapphire, so that completes all my characters’ journey through the tourney. Her and Malcom’s Iron Spirit is a cool looking power, btw…heh, and once again I got “BRAIN SURGEON! DOMINATING!” I was putting up an invincible defense in a CTF game…I was standing my ground by some energy ammo for occasional reloading…and killing any opposing team member that came around the corner. I forgot what map it was…but both team bases bear a resemblance to those Aztec structures. I had an eye on both possible ways the other team could approach our base. The bots could not do anything about it…the announcer also said I was “UNSTOPPABLE!! HAHAHA!” I’ve begun to use my Sniper even more than the Flak…the head shots are just too sweet…and I’m always trying to get the announcer to say “brain surgeon”…I love it. The only thing better is when he calls you “GODLIKE!”

SNK vs capcom chaos THIS GAME FLAT OUT ROCKS AND I DON’T CARE IF IT’S A PORT I LOVE IT this is quite possibly the greatest fighting game ever made or at least on par with mvc2 it’s oldskool but still hs some of modern elements and the exceeds are insane that last minute final super attack to clinch the match or turn it around jus makes this game god tier no other game has combos,special moves,n overall flow like chaos

Played NARC today at my friends place. I don’t care for GTA “inspired” games or GTA itself, but this game kicks ass. I guess it’s playing as a cop is what I like. I think I’m gonna buy this and live out my SHIELD fantasies. :tup:
So I bought Psychonauts. I really shouldn’t have, due to my lack of funds at the moment. But I wanted to play this game. And It’s really good, too. I played it pretty much all day yesterday, something like six hours straight. Excellent story, good sense of humor, solid design, fun levels. I do hate hhte money system, though. You can either wander around pulling up things arrowheads worth 1 each, or use a hot/cold meter to gather ones worth 20 at a time. Either way, it’s hella boring and time-consuming. I ended up using the infinite money cheat. But other than that, excellent game. A must-try for platforming fans.
Most of the human enemies will both attack Leon and try to take Ashley.
They say the same words, but each has different vocal qualities. Try listening to one, then the other for immediate comparison if you want to hear the difference.
Anyone here with the Lego Star Wars game? I’m interested in getting that, ESPECIALLY after it’s been said that you can play as every major character from the 3 prequel movies…even that one useless droid that looks like a trashcan.(*not R2…he looks like a primitive version of R2) If they let you play as GREIVOUS, this might be the greatest SWs game ever.
Halo 2 comparison to UC2 —I have to admit…at least with regard to the single player story experience…H2 actually beats UC2. H2 had more of an “epic action movie” feel…like you were the hero in some summer blockbuster Schwarzeneggar kind of film, with big budget special effects and all that…it even had replay value at least for me. UC2, however…the story was okay, but just not as engaging, imo. One tight cinema though was the Playoff Quarter finals, I think…when Selket is there in the center of a colluseum area in front of a packed crowd…and then they introduce Ra, Memphis, Nephtys, etc, and you. That was tight…it really would be the greatest thing ever if we actually had the equivalent of the Liandri-sponsored deathmatch tournaments in real life. I’d watch something like that on the regular on live PPV…or better yet…right there in the stadium/colluseums. I’d kill for front row tickets to something like that. (*as long as there is a protective barrier of course…I don’t want to get hit with a stray sniper/flak/biorifle/whatever shot.)
but yah…H2 still had those big movie moments…like jumping on the back of the Scarab…getting in there to ruin the Covenant’s shit. It’s always cool.
edit—after checking Gamefaqs…yes, The GREIVOUS is playable in Lego Star Wars! And…pretty much everyone else, apparently. :wow: I MUST have this game.
