The "Currently Playing" Game Thread-Discuss Your Games, Vent, Give Props, etc

Use the weapon type with the sweapper. To me this game isn’t hard at all, sure the first week or two it is but now I have this whole game memorized in my head.

Xenosaga

Good Game Alert!

After some of the garbage I’ve played lately, I finally found a good game: Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly. I have never played the series before, but this game is really creepy. Love the atmosphere.

I don’t think I’ll get much sleep tonight.

This just in!

Found a sealed copy of Panzar Dragoon Orta at the wearhouse at the mall for 19.99! yay! <3 !!!

I just finished the Raiden Tournament Ladder and have now unlocked everything in UC2. Hopefully, I can get back to playing online soon.

SH:C, on the way to Dr. Hojo’s lab. On a side note, still in disbelief after getting surrounded in a battle on the warship and getting hit with a combo of 84 hits by 6 soldiers with machine guns…

Another small gaming package arrived.

2 new Super Famicom games (1 I bought, the second one a surprise freebie) and a Saturn game.

Akumajou Dracula (Super Castlevania 4j), Romancing Saga 3 and Symphony of the Night for Saturn (Dracula X: Moonlight Nocturne)

So far 2k5 has been a great year for gaming for me. Importing Japanese games has become a way of life now.

Hopped back into Spidey 2. Mysterio is really getting on my nerves. The dude just does not know when to quit. First that gay obstacle course, then taking hostages in some theatre, and then take over Lady Liberty (although I gotta say, I did enjoy taking down those bombs or whatever they were aroud the statue.) And I laughed out loud when Mysterio said “You have no chance to survive, make your time!!” That was just gold.

Jade Empire…fuckin badass

Why is Stella Deus so fucken good!? Haven’t played DDS in nearly two weeks and that’ll have to wait cos SD is fun

SH:C, at Inugami Village, enjoying Neo Amon’s “Die, Scumbag!!”, as well as Kurando’s Tsukiyomi fusion and Karin’s lv. 3 Geuschbenst. :badboy:

I just bought the game too. Just barely starting now but I can’t wait to really get into it.

haha yeah SD is like the 2nd coming of FFT. Voice acting isn’t bad for the uhh, 6 chars I’ve come across so far. The art and cutscenes are really nice.

atm, doing the first stage of that catacombs alone. Always dying when I’m about to take out the last guy haha, fuck.

Now I love me some 2D fighters but man, I just had to take a break from MvC2. The game’s 99 level AI was really starting eo irk me with its cheap bull crap tactics that no human player can do. I mean, I love MvC2 but screw that garbage. So I went back to my 3D fighting love. That’s right, I’m talking about Viruta Fighter 4: Evolution. I just can’t get over how amazingly deep and awesome this game is. Each fighter has a move set that snaps two pages in the instruction booklet. I have to get used to blocking with a button again and I miss the quick get ups from Tekken 4 but by and large, VF4: Evo is still the king of 3D brawllers in my book. Now for my personal status:

Pai-SPIDEYGOKU
8th Dan
Win/Lose: 198/10

Anyone else think Lau Chan looks like Tao Pappi from Dragon Ball? All he needs is “KILL YOU” on the back of his gi and he’ll be good to go.

Playing Mega Man Anniversary Collection on Gamecube. Beat MM1 and MM2 and halfway through MM3. At first I was having a hard time because for some reason, Capcom decided to reverse the buttons for the Gamecube version, but now I’ve gotten used to it. I wouldn’t have so much a problem with it if you can change the button configuration, but you can’t. I hope they don’t do this for the Megaman X collection.

If a MMX collection does come out, then they likely will include alternate button configurations. A lot of people bitched about the GC version, so the X-Box version of MMAC has four different selectable button layouts.

hmm…^thanks for the tip…I’ll get the Xbox version then. Good thing I’m late on the whole Megaman Anniversary thing. I can usually adjust to just about any control setup though.(*except inverted controls in a FPS…that’s stupid…I’m playing a game, not flying a plane. Up is supposed to mean Up!)

I’ll probably be playing UC2 all day today, since the weather is crappy right now and there’s no point to going outside.(*no super short skirts walking around.)

MvC2 was never hard, imo…most people actually thought it was too easy…at least…the Dreamcast version. I don’t know if the other versions were made more difficult, but I doubt it. But there are certain characters you have to just cheap out to beat…like Rogue, or Thanos, or Storm particularly. With say…Cable on my team, I’d just jump fierce and/or HVB all day while calling a good cover assist like Doom’s rocks or “pink shit”…or Spiral’s swords. Usually the ai characters will just block this all day, and eventually die to block damage. Also, Cable is of course THE Assist-killer…every time I’m playing with that character…I’m just waiting for an assist to hop out on the screen so I can blast that ass with AHVBxWhatever. (heh, usually get the announcer to say “MARVELOUS!” when you do that)

Or, I might get Iceman, and of course another good coverage assist like Doom, and Icebeam/Glacier(?) all round…and chip them to death like that…Megaman is even better with the Buster shots and Rockball + Assist. cpu characters can’t do shit usually if you have Mega and a good assist, and you just get out the Rockball to add to your screen control…it keeps the cpu locked down in one little area until they die.

sidenote—I like Megaman in the grey color on that game…I like a red color scheme Strider…or green…

and Spiral = HOTNESS. Check spiral’s Booty. It’s serious. And just imagine the sexual implications of those extra arms, as well as her weird stretchiness…

“My crew and me commit atrocities like we got immunity”

Jade Empire muthafuckas!

Even though it’s riddled with slowdown, Dracula X: Moonlight Nocturne for Saturn pounds the PS1 Castlevania: SotN into the ground, seriously. For several reasons

>You can pick which of the 3 to play as they have their own quest: Richter, Alucard and Maria.

>Has several remixes of some familiar Castlevania tunes never heard on the PS1 version.

>Unlike Alucard, Richter and Maria does not have to level up, nor equip items and weapons.

Well, it’s been awhile since I last did this, but it’s collection pimpin’ time.
