SO3, on the way to the Shrine of Kaddan, but not before the Aquatic Garden of Surferio, which also means Maria is in the party now… :badboy:

Through a complicated series of coincidences, I’ve neded up with the X-Box demo disc for March. I’m now even more determined to get UC2 than before. I loved the first UC, and this one seems infinite leagues better.

And I <3 Lauren. A redheaded goth chick? I’m there! She’s also super-fast, and can keep Vampiric active almost constantly, easily making up for the low health.

Anubis and the Skaarj character both seem pretty good, though I’m dissappointed that they reversed the Skaarj racial traits from original UC. They were fast/low health in the previous one, but are now slow/high health. However, the Predator and Regenterate skills are really cool, and the one where he becomes surrounded by blades is extremely deadly :badboy:.

With Anubis, the Warrior’s Spirit skill can be used much like Lauren’s Vampiric. It temporarily increases all of his weapon’s firing rates at pretty low adrenaline cost, so it can stay active almost constantly. And Repulse is also good for a situation where you’re surrounded and low on health. Unfortunately, his melee weapon sucks, but considering that Warrior’s Spirit only enhances his ranged weapons anyway, that’s no big deal.

I also really like that Ripjack. Very cool weapon. I’ll have a hard time picking between it and my UC1 favorite, the Flak Cannon.

I’m thinking Szalor would benefit more from using the super speed more often, right? It would negate his natural slow-assness. I usually use that and the Regenerate ability more often than Predator. It’s been awhile since I played this.

There’s too much good stuff out. I think NARC is already out, and DOOM3 hits Xbox tomorrow, I think…and then there’s UC2 that I MUST have, and THEN Destroy All Humans…eh, I forgot the release date on that, but it should be soon, right? At least financially speaking…for me…it’s a good thing that Gamecube is pretty much over except for the next Zelda…cuz there’s already too much good stuff out for other systems…Doom3, UC2, and Destroy All Humans…I NEED those games…

man…even if ya count Donkey Kong Jungle Beat(*it doesn’t interest me)…that’s still only 2 games left on GC’s lineup for the whole year. That’s sad…but good for me since I’m not exactly swimming in money like Scrooge McDuck.(*I still want to do that at least once in life…it’s been a childhood dream.)

*off-topic - New York Minute is on yet again…the Olsen girls have never looked this cute before.

RIght now I have a hardon for Jade Empire and UC2. These two games are looking so good. I am guessing both of these games are game of the year material.

Edit: Nintendo hussled MS when they sold them Rare. They have yet to make a good game on xbox, Conker looking like bs right now because it isn’t even a new game; it’s a damn rehash. Lets not forget that most of the people who worked on golden eye jump ship near the end of perfect darks developement to form the comapany that makes the time splitter games.

coop in splinter cell 3is too much fun.everything in this game is fun. the single player is better than the previous two. once coop and sp are done mp will last me quite awhile.

also outrun 2 is pimp. i spend most of my time racing the ghosts of the people with the fastest times.

Is it better than Halo 2?

splinter cell: chaos theory = god tier

Yes! Someone else who bought the greatness. Right now I’m tackling the mission mode and trying hard to complete it while juggling God of War at the same time. What a great problem. :karate:

That dissapoints me. The old-school one always kept my friends and I busy back in the day. I’ll still check it out though.

Million, don’t bother w/NARC. Its a piece of shit. The Doom3 expan. isn’t bad. Have yet to try multiplayer though.

Playing SC3 and Lego Star Wars haha, quite a surprise

I was actually using that blade skill the most, and Regenerate when he needed it. It seemed like those blades were an instant kill to anyone that they touched, and using them in conjuction with the slowing effect of his personal light ranged weapon they were getting me quite a few kills. I agree that Predator wasn’t super effective, but I liked using it occassionally just for fun.

Oh, also to add: That minigun was freakin’ cool too. The primary fire slowly amps up in damage the longer the trigger is held down, and the alternate fire is homing. Good shit!

DK:JB was mad fun. I was a little nervous because of the bongo controllers, but I changed my mind in about five minutes of play. You know that it’s a platformer, not a “beat” type game, right?

I also thought that StarFox Assualt was fun, though short. And the multiplayer is kick-ass.

Dayum!!! You are really not close at all. I suggest you power her up. she’ll have a lovely move later on. I think it is energy burst. It is either a short or long range attack where it attacks the enemy HP and MP. Once that is maxed you can clear through the rest of the game like it is nothing.

I have decided that I will not continue playing Xeno2. I went through 3 boss battles and through serious dunegeons once you beat the game and I had to complete a sidequest to go even further! Im done!

As for the SCC, I was going to pick it up then I realized hey my genesis still works oh well.

I really wish I would hear more about her other moves aside from Energy Burst…

-Aiming Device: launches, causes HP and MP damage, occasionally causes confusion; a staple Battle Skill

-Scatter Beam: as the level increases, the number of beams also increases (starting at 3, then 5, then finally 10 at a time), damage in upwards of 100,000 HPs at a time possible once the beams reach 10, not accounting for cancel bonuses

-Magnetic Field: large damage and area coverage, it often causes paralysis as well

-Pulse Blast: nothing special at first, but the number of orbs also increase per level for each of the 4 bursts (1 orbs/burst, then 2 orbs/burst, then 3 orbs/burst)

-Crescent Locus: not as good a launcher as Aiming Device, but still a decent close range skill, perfect for cancelling into Triple Kick

-Triple Kick: long range and wide area of coverage, as well as high damage, is also good for knocking enemies back into shooting range

-Laser Blast: somewhat weakened by the fact that it’s her only elemental Battle Skill (fire element), it’s quite effective for closing distance, as well as a defensive skill, the ring of explosions after the laser sweep causing guard break even if set to X

-Gravity Bullet: with this, an infinite is possible…

[step 1] assign Gravity Bullet to short X (or short O if Berserk is on; it won’t be possible for the enemy to guard before becoming paralyzed again this way, but it costs much more HP)

[step 2] equip a weapon with paralysis (or synth the effect onto one)

[step 3] find an enemy susceptible to paralysis

[step 4] Gravity Bullet --> run in, wait for Fury to build a little --> repeat as necessary

-Radiation Bots: the other technique gained post-game aside from Energy Burst, the drones called forth stay out longer as the skill is leveled up, HP and MP damage caused by their support fire; it’s best used in conjunction with side step shot, and supposedly, it’s possible to even solo 4D Freya with that strategy (I’ve heard this and have seen some pics in which the Battle Trophies for 4D Freya were earned using Maria alone, but it would be better to look into it than to take my word for it)

Jet Grind Radio Future and Shenmue 2 are my current addictions. I play these games again and again and again and never get tired of them.

One more wek till Jade Empire is in my xbox. I will probably have a Joygasm/Orgasm/HeartAttack combo when I boot this game up!

Edit: Anyone play Lego Star Wars. This game looks damn good.

Speaking of Jape Empire…I’m thinking about getting this but I’m not to sure. I have only heard about games from Bio Ware but have never played any of them. This is the only one that is asthetically appealing to me(the chararcter models could’ve used some work imo). I read the featur in EGM about it. I probably will cop this. Anybody check out the demo?

Oh, c’mon! BioWare made MDK2! Pure kickass in a can there.

Then again, I only know of one other person who thinks of that game anywhere near as highly as me. Oh, well.

As for my gaming, just playing MMAC on X-Box, and started a couple new characters on D2:LoD. Trying to kill time until UC2. Hey, has anyone else had problems with the Rush Adaptor button not working on the X-Box version? According to the controller setup thingie, Black is supposed to switch through the Rush Adaptors, like the C-Stick on GC and R2 on PS2. But it never does anything when I push it. BTW, I use Controller Setting #2.

I have to get back and finished the game though. I had the game since it was released. I suggest you keep this after the story is over you may already know that there are bonus dungeons and the bosses are tough. I wont spoil too much but watch for for an evil version of Fayt. He’ll seriously will kick your ass. As of right now I am in sphere 211 on floor 145.

OH SHIT!!! Either I forgot about that or didn’t know. Thinking about it, I think I just forgot. That was just one of many favorite/best games ever on the DC. It stands as the only game I could not beat. The only one.

Fuck it. I’ll buy JE just for support.

Sphere wasn’t too much of a challenge (nor was Ethereal Queen), but Fayt was. I’ve beaten it once already (a file that’s around 206 hours at this point), but I plan on focusing on eventually leveling everyone to 255 for the second play that I’m working on now.

cracked open king’s field 2 this weekend. got up to about lvl 26. played a lot of irritating stick and sentinal returns. just got midway presents atari collection 2 (roadblaster, gauntlet, paperboy, etc) so will be playing that. should be getting iron soldier 3 in the mail any day now (ahh the jaguar…)

everything goes on the backburned on wednesday however when Digital Devil Saga comes out.
