Anyone here with a PS2 MUST get devil may cry 3. This is the most fun I’ve had in a game in YEARS.
A game with so much style and substance. Amazing gameplay that is just INTENSE and just plain INSANE.
Right now I’m on mission 10 and I just fought that vampire lady who seemed invincible untill I got it and fucked her up with my swords.
The enemies in this game are pretty cool even though they all look have the same base to a degree. But they are FAST, and in HUGE numbers.
I can’t tell you how many times I just wigged out when you get trapped in a room and you have to KILL ALL the enemies. In the skull room I fought those guys fior about 10 mins. No stop stylish action.
The boses is OK. Not as cool as the ones in DMC. You can’t really touch the phantom and Griffon.
So far cerberus is the best boss presentation wise. Just the conversation between him and dante was epic shit. Fight could have been crazier though.
Those two sword guys were HARD as fucking hell.
Mastering the styles is cool. Royal guard = Parry. And it MUST be used in some cases like secret mission 3.
So go and buy this game as I garuntee you will not regret it.
You should buy it just to see dante use the cerberus nunchucks. pure ownage.
just stop sucking so bad. There you’ll beat the game in no time. I think you can go over 10, my girlfriend loves that goofy ass game.
I figured out I suck at Tekken, and losing to the computer in the arcade modes makes me think I need to seriously learn how to play as the boxing phenom Steven J. Fox and not just punch randomly like a doof. Losing to the fucking computer in Arcade mode makes me really mad for some reason.
After Devil Jin is unlocked, I shall immerse myself in DMC 3, hopefully not throwing my controller anymore.
Oh yeah GT4 is crazy with the wheel. That is just like real life driving, I could tell by how horrible I was doing. Of course driving on a rally course with a ford focus at 80 miles per hours and not using the break really wasn’t the smartest thing to do considering I am a loser who doesn’t have his drivers license at 19 yet.
So to summarize this post, VSLASH sucks, he can’t beat the computer in Tekken, and he can’t drive. Insert sad face now.
You don’t have to be precise about it at all. Once I stopped rolling when it was 5M and the King just insulted me for a bit and then I got to move on to the next stage. You can’t go over 10M, though. When that happens the King will berate you and you have to do the stage over.
Nah man, you’re 19, you still got time before “loser” status. I’ll be 21 years old this June…still no license. Mainly due to being so broke, I couldn’t afford the $25 to take the damn test, but still. At least I got off my ass and found a job, so now I might be able to do something.
Vicious, are you retarded? or just illiterate? or maybe its a little bit of both?
If you actually take the time to read my post you would have realized that I said i got 7 and 11. I am trying for the star where you actually have to get exactly 10.
AND I mentioned buildings. you cant roll up buildings with less than 10. I have rolled a 30M one in fact.
so the fact remains that I dont suck, and you are functionally illiterate.
and you’re illiterate!!!
LOSER!!!
-AC
got her license on her 16th birthday. passed with a 98/100 bitches.
I’m currently playing FF2 for the SNES. Good times, good times. About 6 hours into the game, just got Edge and stuff. Gotta go to the cave of summoned monsters and the moon.
Anyone else think the music in this game was totally awesome for the time era that it came out in?
Sigh, and illiterate. Sigh again, I think I am gonna go lose in Tekken some more, then probably lose in DMC 3, then cry about how much I suck and can’t read or drive.
At least I’m good looking…
And no HK, it seems that me and infinidragon got you beat in pure lazyness powers. remembers the simpsons episode where homer had the lazy fight with the teamsters I guess you’d be Homer and me and Infini would be the teamsters.
I dunno why people rag on Dante and Vergil’s voices so much…sure, they are not as “badass”, but IMO, they are not downright horrible. And besides, I always get a kick when I hear Dante say “This party is getting crazy! LET’S ROCK!” presses jukebox button, nothing happens, presses it again, still nothing, then SMASHES the jukebox, music plays.
Hah hah, Dante took lessons from The Fonz.
Yeah, I was stuck with the Cerberus (I’m reading that everyone had a hard time with him the first time around?), and I already unlocked Easy mode thanks to so much dying. So yeah, I’m taking the pussy way out and play it on Easy (don’t worry, I’ve finished DMC 1 in Hard mode before, I just need to get used to the DMC 3 overall before getting into the harder challenges).
For the record, I’ve finished all the difficulty levels in DMC 2 (which isn’t saying much, DMD mode was barely even a challenge), and only defeated up to Hard mode in DMC 1 (I died countless times in that run, so I gave up on even TRYING DMD mode…that level must be insane).
So I’m switching between DMC and Winning Eleven 8. Tra la.
I’m turning 20 today, still no license, which I would’ve had if not for being unable to parallel park, which I could do perfectly right after the assessment. I’m not interested in sulking over it, though.
GT4 with the wheel is sick. Probably the closest I will ever get to driving a good car in a circuit. I thought I was lazy too when I got my license at 17. I held out because I didn’t want to take my road test in the winter.
a-chan: I have never gotten the king to be happy about any of my katamaris. I just assumed he would berate you with anything you do because he’s just awesome like that.
a-chan, how the heck did you get past Make a Star 7? I’ve been stuck on that one for a while now. I’ve come so close to getting the right amount at the last minute but time runs out. And yeah, no matter what you do, the King will always down on you. BTW how many gifts have you found? I’ve only found 2: crown and a scarf. Rolling with a crown rocks.
As for GBA NES Castlevania, I cannot get past Frankie yet I’ve was soooooooo close yesterday!! I only had to hit him ONE MORE FREAKING TIME AAND HE WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD!!! That little pest hoping around is the biggest annoyance in the fight. AAGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!
Thats what i thought too. until I got a ridiculously large katamari I went like 10 M over the suggested size, and the king actually didnt treat me like total shit ANNNND, he smiled
so i figure if I get it reaaaaaaally close to 10M then he’ll be happy???
hrrmm, i dont remeber which level star 7 was. I will play it later today to remember the stage and let you know the strategy used. But it took me several tries to beat, 6,7, and 8. 8 was tough but fun
anyway as for presents, I have the scarf, and we found another one but it popped off the katamari before the round was over
and I gotta see the crown LOL.
Well, I’m enjoying it, at least. I remember everything with Sonic Heroes, though, so I’m reluctant to actually recommend it to you. But I can say that at least I’m having fun with it. Like I said, it feels like a wacky cross between Ninja Gaiden and Sonic the Hedgehog, with a bit of a beat-'em-up flavor. There are lots of special parts where the gameplay changes, too. Like some cannon-shooting segments, and several places where you have to roll a ball down a track or across small or moving platforms. The first boss is even a boxing match similar to Super Punch-Out.
It isn’t particularly hard, though. So don’t expect much of a challenge. But I think it’s fun.
LOL no worries, I thought I was going to like Sonic Heroes as well.
but I-ninja does look really fun. and as long as a game is fun it doesnt matter how hard or easy it is to me. I was a huge spyro fan. The games (first 2) were ridiculously easy, but they were so much fun to play.
But I think I will go ahead and get I-ninja and I’ll let you know. But its going to be a while. I have to finish Xenosaga 2 and KOTOR first. So honestly it will prolyl be at least a month till I play it.
Ah, FF4…good times, indeed. If you weren’t so far in, I would’ve recommended the translated ROM, gets the characters more accurately and dtiches the edited stuff in the US version (it’s a scythe over Rosa’s head, not a steel ball dammit!). But even still, FF4 is the most badass OG FF IMO, so good on you.
Ehhh I honestly can’t quite bridge the generation gap when it comes to Y’s. My prior Y’s experience to AoN was only on 8-bit systems (Sega Master System and Japanese NES). The Turbografx CD and 16-bit Y’s games have pretty much slipped right by me.
But I tell you one thing though. It’s not a bumper car fest like the older Y’s games were.
EDIT: My Swap 3.3 boot discs came in. Enjoying Japanese PS2 GGXX#R in my newly made over PS2 in a loud green see-thru shell with a flip top. Since I haven’t played enough #Reload to understand all the character changes, it’s finally taken me a toll on Sol Badguy. Only gun flames can be FRC’ed, and #Reload dust loops are really frustrating to pull off, so I might have to brainstorm a new setup game.
Hmm I am playing the translated rom, but I guess I got the wrong one, cause it was* a steel ball over Rosa’s head. Ah well. The US version was the first game I got for SNES when I had it. :pleased:
I’m thinking of playing FF3 after this, not sure yet. I also have FF7 for computer. It all comes down to a matter of having enough time for these games.
