UC2 is badass, and so is the new Splinter Cell. The most promising demos I’ve ever played, by far.
Picked up Tenchu Fatal Shadows
Mercenaries for Xbox
So i’m playing those 2 games, aswell as Tekken 5. Working on Hwoarang + Nina.
Picked up DMC3 earlier tonight. It’s so great that I’m forgetting about how dismal DMC2 was already.
Ha I just read the review on Gamespot. How pussy gamers are now a days.
They were complaining about how hard it was. Man fuck that DMC 1 was hard, but that didn’t make it any less of a game, in fact that was the reason everyone hated DMC 2. Ninja Gaiden was “hard” but that doesn’t mean the game wasn’t awesome as fucking hell. ( DMC with ninjas basically )
Sounds like this game may take DMC’s spot as my favorite game of all time. Game starts off hard, this reviewer can eat a cock, of course I haven’t played the game yet, but damn, did he/she even play DMC 1 ?
All I know is that I can’t wait to get this game. Come spring break I’m going to be doing 4 things, playing DMC 3, playing Tekken 5, working, and playing DMC 3. WOO !
Just got to the part of RE0 where you visit the entrance to Brikin’s research facility from 2. This is probably the gayest turn yet, as that particular facility is supposed to be on the completely opposite side of Raccoon City from the forest and the Spencer mansion. And not only was Rebecca there, but Enrico, too. All of this was supposed to happen between the times that Bravo team and Alpha team entered the area? Bullshit.
Man I forgot about DMC3…
God I want this game BAD. I happy to hear about how hard it is.
I’m picking it up this friday hopefully.
Those fags at EB may not have it.
I was sick on Tuesday but I’ve been getting better.
I’ve been playing some Budokai 3, leveling up Piccolo in Dragon Arena mode. His Attack Points are maxed out to 20 and he’s nearly at level 30 already. As much as I enjoy B3, I was begining to crave a 2D fighter. So I finally made the jump to GGX2. Now I really enjoyed he first GGX and from the 3 chars in story mode, I played, I really like GGX2. Some characters I like more in this game and some I like less. I like May even more in this game but I like Ky less than what I did in GGX. Not quite sure what it is for him. And they improved Sol so much it seems. He was amazing in GGX and in GGX2 he seems 10X more amazing. I think I can safely say tha tthe GG series is my 2nd fav 2D fighting series (First would be SF. Whodathunk?). The fighting is just so rich and over the top. Right now I’m not really getting in-depth with the game. I’m just beating Story mode with everyone so I can unlock some stuff. I’m not sure if I said it before in a previous post here but I really love the character designs of the series.
And I finally played Spider-Man: The Movie 2. OH SNAP!! THE WEB-SWINING IS AWESOME!!! :wow: I could care less about saving the city from Doc Ock. I just love swining around. I like how your webs actually have to hit a building in order for Spidey to actually be able to swing from them. And they even incorporated Spidey’s jumping powers. I can actually just leap to some buildings without swinging. Screw the power of flight, it is no-where near as cool as web-sling as far as game experiences go. I can just picture myself playing Spidey 2 after I’ve beaten it just to swing around. It is soooooooooo much fun.
Shit I forgot that was out. I gotta pick that one up tomorrow
Finally finished RE0. God, that game blew. I’m thankful that it’s finally over.
I also picked up Stranger’s Wrath with my Federal Tax Returns. Haven’t played it yet, but definitely looking forward to it.
I’m interested in hearing some stories about DMC3 (which will no doubt contain lots of swearin). I hear the game is unforgivably hard a la Ninja Gaiden on Xbox. Be sure to keep that Advil handy along with a couple extra controllers!!
Gotta get back to my GGX2. Since this is my last day off before I go back to work for 3 days in a row, I’m gonna squeeze as much gaming out of the day as I possibly can.
As for Spidey 2, I was having trouble keeping up with the Black Cat after I just met here at the art museum. Took me a few tries but I finally caught up to her… only to have her get away. And it seems like everyone in New York needs a favor. Car jackings, armored cars being held up, muggings, etc. “With great power comes great responsibility.” Man, screw you, Uncle Ben. I’m off to have fun swining around NY!!
Gonna get my classic gaming on with NES Classic Series Castlevania.
Next gaming purchases:
-Tekken 4 (been out of the Tekken game for a long time)
-Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Have no clue where my disc is)
I didnt think RE0 wa sthat bad. It wasnt great. but not bad IMO.
and I havent moved much in Xenosaga. I just finished the first Albedo fight. Im finally getting the hang of the combos.
and the reason i havent moved far in xenosaga is because i am addictd to katamari!!! I have just completed the 7th star of 6 M. actually it was SMb that did it. I couldnt get past 5.8. After I finish i gotta go back and find all the presents! awesome game. I really think they should port this game to the PSP!!
DMC3 isn’t that hard…
Oh, I’m (probably) gonna pick up a GBA game this week, dunno what to get though. So far I have:
Advance Wars 2, Astro Boy, Castlevania AoS & HoD, Fire Emblem, Golden Sun, Mario and Luigi, Metroid Fusion, Zelda 4 Swords, Zelda Minish Cap.
Tekken 5 owns us.
Y’know I was at the arcade playing Tekken 5 one time. And what I heard in the Pool stage sounded way too familiar…
Tekken 5 is the second fighting game (Garou: Mark of the Wolves being the first) to have a song that rips off Robert Miles’ “Children” for a couple of bars. What is it about that song that’s appealing to game music composers?
EDIT: Also if anyone still remembers Galford’s stage music (particularly Samurai Shodown 1 version), then get a MP3 of a song called “Roundabout”. The beat sounds way too similar to each other.
I liked RE0 a lot. I thought Billy was the greatness, and zombie team up killing action was fun. I guess I am easily pleased.
I really didn’t like Xenosaga though, it took way too long to actually get into the game. I played for about .0000001% of the game and then took it back and returned it. It’s a pity too, I totally enjoyed Xenogears.
Since I just got done writing in my journal over at GameSpot, I’ll just copy it over here. It concerns my trials and tribulations with GGX2:
"You know, it has been a good while since I’ve felt the urge to just chuck my controller on the floor. As gamers, we all know this feeling. The last time I felt such frustration was when I was playing Mega Man Battle Network 4, a game which did a marelous job of portaying what it would feel like to be an argery dog playing fetch with his idiot master. But I digress. Sometimes you know you’re going to play a game or go up against a boss that will really make your blood pressure rise. Other times, you just don’t see it coming. Tonight, I just had no idea it would hit me. The game? Guilty Gear X2. The final boss? I-No. I was playing through Baiken’s Story mode. Now I’ve fought I-No before and I was aware of some of her cheap tactics. Still, that couldn’t prepare me for the world of hurt that broad was going to open up on me. I’ve never had this much trouble with her before. She was coming at me with that guitar and some crazy moves that took away half of my life. Some of her attacks it didn’t even matter if i blocked them. This one special where she uses her guitar to shoot some orbs at you is just plain evil. Even if you block it, you still take an insane amount of block damage. Basically, if you blocked the move with a full bar of health, you’d be on your last legs. The move is that broken. And did I mention how many times it took me to successful own that broad with Baiken’s instant kill? That IK was pretty much my only chance of winning. Why? Because any damage done to her was just regenerated. A few times when I executed the IK, she was in the air or she blocked it, which really took my irk meter to 11. When I finally landed my IK, I was so relieved. I wasn’t counting how many tries it took me but I’m pretty sure it was more than 15. No, I’m not joking.
It didn’t help that I-No has got to be one of the most butt-ugly females in the history of 2D fighters. Seriously, she isn’t even the slightest bit attractive. I’ve seen sexier feces than that cheap-looking wanna-be hooker. And please, I-No, keep your top on after the match. No one deserves to be blinded by that abomination. You are not sexy and if someone told yoo so, they were lying, trying their hardest to keep a straight face when they said it. I don’t care what I-No fans say, you’re the ugliest chick in all 2D fighting games. Your theme should be Weird Al’s Ugly Girl."
Just put it on easy mode. Difficulty effects story mode too. And you really shouldn’t be so angry about it as it’s just an extra mode for unlocking shit really. Let alone that Dizzy’s fight against I-no in story mode is alot harder. Oh yeah, for the ball attack, Megalomania, just dodge it. It has a ton of warning signs where the path appears so just dodge them, for the one that covers the screen, just double jump right before she fires. She really shouldn’t be THAT hard
Oh and I picked up DMC3, gonna play in a bit
My main complaint with RE0 was the huge story inconsistencies between it and the rest of the series.
For instance:
- This entire game is supposed to take place between the time Bravo team enters the forest and Alpha team follows them. And it appears that an entire day passes? The original RE says Alpha team followed as soon as they lost contact with Bravo team. It seems as though a few hours passed at best.
- Rebecca and Enrico find Brikin’s research facility. According to RE2, that was on the opposite end of Raccoon City from the Spencer mansion. Now maybe that train and then the cable car transported Rebecca that far. But Enrico? How’d he travel all that distance on foot?
- RE0 claims that Dr. Marcus and Sir Spencer started Umbrella, yet CODE: Veronica said that Trevor Ashford began the company.
- RE0 also claims that Dr. Marcus made the T-virus from leech DNA. Yet CODE: Veronica said that it was created by Sir Spencer using some sort of virus remains found in fossils. Granted, Sir Spencer may have stolen the research, but that still leaves the differences in base virus.
I always thought the time was right, I mean you crash your train late night and the game ends early morning. It makes sense to me at least.
Other then the time thing, I wouldn’t know, I’ve never played CODE: Veronica. Oh well I liked RE0, sorry you didn’t Remy.
EDIT: Reggie, if you want to unlock all the characters, just put it on easy and beat everyone’s story mode.
