I just hit the 131 hour mark on FFX, and thats not including the times i played and quit without saving. Love this game so much. Bliztball is so fun yet so boring.

cosign

Good choice

Picked some games today. All unexpected purchases. Had no idea I’d be buying them today:

Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter-Yeah, I know it is very differernt from the rest of the BOF games in the series, but I love me some BOF. And it was only $14.99 new.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament-I heard it was good fan service despite the mixed reviews. I’m reading through the DT story arc in the manga and in the anime, the DT saga is my fav saga. I just had to get it. It was only $20.99 new.

Ribit King-I heard this game sold like 2 copies and when it first came out it was only $20. I got it used for $8.70 and in excellent condition, instructions and all. For that price, I figured, eh, why not?

GTA: SA-I did one mission last night. All I had to do was drive all the way out to the dumb country side and get Ceaser then drive all the way over to another country side so I can take some pictures. Nice, easy job. My reward?: “Respect+”. Where is my freaking MONEY!!!???

Guilty Gear X-I plan to beat this game with all the characters then move on to X2. And what is up with Testament? Dude is too tough.

Lately all I have been playing is either World Championship Poker, and Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (ps2) preferably IIIS…

kotor2 for pc is a struggle. Random ctd’s own my pc. I wouldn’t mind, but then I can’t see my start bar when it does it. Need a reboot, jesus.

DMC3 is fucken hot. HOTT

does dmc3 have english audio or subtitles at all?

engrish! booyaka.
nanobreaker is still good. death by degrees is not.

this’ll be the first dmc I ever finish, unless it gets fucken stupid somewhere lol.

i really need my gt4 fix. I don’t wnt to give in and just get the jpnse version.

k good, i dont think id be able to put up with dante’s white surfer voice when it comes out here…

Yeah, FF X’s Blitzball can get pretty boring after a while. I had to play through 102 games in order to attain the Jupiter Crest to power up Wakka’s World Champion. Basically, I never lost a game (not even the first game against the Luca Goers for the championship). The biggest score I could attain was a 10-0 against the Killika Beasts (I think that is the highest score possible, since you can only seem to score one goal per minute, at best).

Right now, I’m trying to fend off the Battle Arena monsters. I have already cleared all the “Area Conquest” monsters, and I’m now on the “Species Conquest” monsters. Fuckin one hour to defeat Jumbo Flan and another hour to beat Nega Elemental  But I defeated the Sleep Sprout in one attack. :bgrin: Right now, I’m trying to defeat the last monster of that section, the Ironclad. Damn bitch has superior defense, and basically counters everything with Rekkasashi or whatever that move is called… Fuckin annoying!

I’m actually alternating plays of FFX and Pocket Fighter and my new buy, Winning Eleven 8, a VERY damn good soccer game (better than FIFA, in my opinion). I wonder why Konami never made it online capable, it would be tight…

it was a huge change from the other BOF games, but I still really loved it.

The battle system was tons of fun.

Not a top tier RPG, but certainly a solid one IMO.

Remy: we’re about the same place you are in RE4. We just finished the mine cart run and the giant salazar fight. We are now moving onto the island.

Cool. I really loved that mine cart. When my roommate who is also playing the game gets there, I may ask him to let me play it again.

I just kicked Krauser’s ass and soon after got Ashley back again. Apparently, he also works for Wesker, and near the end of the fight he even went through a minor G-virus transformation similar to Birkin’s second form in 2. The first fight with Krauser was a really cool idea, but it got kinda old having to watch the story portions of the fight over again whne I died. I now have most of the mid-fight banter memorized simply from hearing it so many times. The second fight with Krauser was wicked. A good mix of long-ranged and toe-to-toe, and the final portion mentioned above was a nice throwback-style fight.

I also liked the part where that chopper provided air support. Poor Mike…

StarFox Assualt in 1 week! Yay!

I did it! Beat the main game, and unlocked the extra characters for The Mercenaries.

Saddler turned out to be a pretty easy boss, IMO the easiest one in the game actually. And the timed run on the jet ski was pretty neat.

As far as the mini-games go:
Assignment Ada seems rediculously hard. I can’t even get past that J.J.! (I was a Striker whore in the main game, so sue me)
The Mercenaries, however, rocks. The overall game is cool. HUNK being back is neat. And for once Wesker doesn’t suck! In fact, I think he’s the best character in the mini-game. Krauser is also pretty cool. I’m glad you can use his claw mutation thing. If only he were faster. And is it just me, or does Ada suck? Sure, she’s fast, but her weapon set is ass, and she can’t take damage worth a crap. I also wish that you could use Luis in this. Maybe even Luis instead of Leon.

Lastly, any advice for getting the ***** ratings? Wesker I can handle for certain, but the other characters will be difficult. Especially Ada on the docks map. That double-bladed chainsaw guy is a bitch.

Actually Ada is pretty good in Mercenaries. The rifle can go through multiple Ganados at once, thus racking up lots of points. Line them up and aim for the heads. I actually have the most trouble getting high rankings w/ Leon.

As for Assignment Ada, what do you mean by J.J.? Abbreviations are lost on me, lol.

I found the mission to be pretty easy. Ammo is very plentiful once you actually enter the facility. Plus, if you die, you’re just taken back to the last checkpoint anyway.

J.J. is the name of the big guy with the minigun. He shows up in the big open area of the very first room. I can’t seem to kill him.

As for the rifle going through shit, how do you have time to aim? The rifle just seems so slow. It has a really long drawing animation, and the aiming reticule seems to move slower, too. Or maybe it’s just me, and my lack of sniping skill.

In other news, I have all 5-stars with Wesker, and with Leon, Krauser, and HUNK on the castle map.

on the rifle for RE4-I suggest for anyone who is stuck on how to aim with it. Doing the target practice in each location and using the “sniper weapon” choice then beat each of tha A B C and D rounds with the sniper rifle really helps. Plus for each round beaten you get “bottlecaps” of characters and money won for each round. Example: if you get all 6 bottlecaps in round A you get $15,000 and if you get all of the caps in D you get $50,000 :wow:

I beat most of the rounds witht he sniper rifle and when I did the Mercenaries because of the target pracitce. My suggestion is to look right at what you want to shoot then raise up your rifle, you should be looking right at it again,if its far away, just focus quick.

I am taking a break from RE4-beat Ada’a mission, beat the regular mission 4 times and have 4 stars for each charcter in each area for Mercanaries. I dunno about getting the handcannon, that Chicago typewritter is tight

So the rifle pierces you say? I tried that out, and have now gotten Ada a 5-star on the castle map as well. Fortunately for me and my lack of sniping skills, the rifle is pretty well upgraded, and usually a simple body shot kills as well.

As far as maps go, I think that the castle is the easiest by far. The arrow snipers can get a bit annoying, but you only have to deal with one sub-boss for the whole duration, and he’s a pretty easy one at that. The puebloe map and the military base map are the hardest, IMO. The pueblo map has insane numbers of those chainsaw bitches. I think I killed at least six the time I got Wesker’s 5-star. And they’re hard to deal with, as you have to dump a lot of ammo into them and they kill you in one hit. The military base isn’t hard in terms of enemies, but the layout is just a bit rough. A lot of one-way paths, and the time extensions are usually only 30 seconds, plus they’re scattered all over. I’ve changed my mind about the docks map, too. The layout seems really easy to me. Also, you only have to deal with two chainsaw guys for the whole duration, and never do they appear at the same time.

Well I’m playing the Pokemon Fire Red rom since I’m bored and Tekken 5 is not out yet.

Playing more Sailor Moon: Another Story on SNES.

I just learned it’s easy to level up cause in this game there’s no such thing as running out of magic points. They fill up after every battle so you can just go all out. Currently, I’m on Chapter 2 I think. I just busted Hotaru Tomoe/Sailor Saturn out of Juuban Hospital, and Sailor Neptune and Uranus are in the party as well.

Okay, finally beat that Assignment Ada game. Now I just have The Mercs left. The Ada game really wasn’t very hard, the only problem for me was killing that first J.J. After that, there’s tons of ammo, the enemies aren’t too tough, and you can continue from any doorway if you die.

The Mercs is proving to be pretty tough now. I got Wesker done quick, but the rest are really tough. I’m especially having a hard time with HUNK, I just run out of ammo too much with him. Game’s damn fun though, even if it is frickin’ hard.

Can anybody tell me exactly how high the score needs to be for a 5-star?
