That’s why this whole thing is stupid and hilarious at the same time and why I bother to bitch about it. Scene is so whack now that you need to make up rivalries to get anything interesting going. And to the person implying the old rivalries were also fake, lol.
Each Active player got randomly paired with an Eliminated player as their partner in a Scramble Mode round robin tournament. The team with the best outcome at the end of the round robin will send their Eliminated player into a match against the Active player of the team with the worst outcome. Whoever wins that battle will then be an Active player and the person who loses will be Eliminated.
Super__Yan chose KOR. I doubt he will be resurrecting.
EDIT: Apparently teams were random; not chosen like I originally heard.
Why is she trying to eliminate herself?
Thanks for the explanation. Sucks for Kor though, he’s probably the best eliminated player by now since he’s leveled his game so much.
Lol Bronson egging on Rockefeller to get on the mic.
So who are the pairs?
Super__Yan x Kor
Renic x Bronson
I think, but am not sure of:
Nerdjosh x Dr. Sub Zero
TFA Hornet x Sherry Jenix
Tasty Steve x 200Yen
Yo I think that Renic stare has left me with 7 days to live.
Yo 200 yen come back
Bronson is fucking hilarious.
Bronson assault, Renic so salty.
Actually each build has been vastly different from each other. Unblockables, wake-up tag cancelling, controllable Cross Assault, cancellable chains…
I believe Seth said that wake-up tag cancelling - spending one bar to tag out a knocked down character without having to deal with mixups - was gone as of the Cross Assault build.
I hope someone is ripping the music from the Team SF stream right now, it sounds so awesome.
I wonder if you were watching the same games as I was because Jago’s Juri was way better than his Kazuya. There’s a reason why he switched Juri to the first character, his Kazuya was getting destroyed by grapplers and not accomplishing anything. Whenever he finally did switch Juri in, she was taking a 50% combo from the raw tag, so he just started using her instead.
When he did use Juri, he still lost, but he did noticeably better. His anti-airs were on point and he did reasonably OK at keeping the grapplers out considering he was playing her solo against 2 health bars. The main problem was he was doing stupid pinwheels sometimes and he was getting whiff punished because his opponents were better players, and because he didn’t have a second character he could do anything with.
In past videos (like in Fingercramp) he was just as stubborn about taking too long to tag out, usually looking for a chance to tag out using meter. The difference was that his opponents at Fingercramp weren’t aggressive enough to punish him for it.
In yesterday’s games he was paired with Superyan’s Bison which wasn’t accomplishing anything. It was basically the same situation as two days ago, he was passable (nothing special) with Juri but Juri was playing 1v2.
Only three times?
No fool!! There were not fake they were played up by the people making hype for them. In my time it was Mike Ross, Deus, Potter etc (I am from Irvine CA.)… in your time it is stream monsters, and that is the problem, not the players but the fools like you!!
Did you not see the DPC vs Clockwork? What about DPC vs SHady K? That led to the DPC vs Justin Wong… Did justin really not like DPC because he called vets washed up and old? Fuck no, DPC only did it to make a pop off vid and get hype going. All three of those MM involved a person that was MEH at best at MvC2, but the hype behind it was great and even good enough for people to pay attention to DPC until EVO where he played Justin and won. None of that “Beef” was real because DPC was not a real contender for Team West coast AKA Team 3. Bombs over Baghdad!!! WW3 Bombs!!!
Did Sanford not like Duc… well alot of people were not happy with him over Studio Traffic, but that had nothing to do with Sanford or the east coast at all really, but people wanted to see Duc lose and wanted something to buy into… In comes Triforce (Aka The Million Dollar Man) Hype insures we have a $6,600 MM and two coasts going off. What an answer!!!
Toan and Natic well that is the most made up rivalry of them all… They played together a lot, they stayed at each others house, but they still played for 24K, 36K and 50K like they hated each other… People just wanted the hype and they got it. Airbrushking is the hype man behind all three of those matches… Him and Kahn (backed Natic) wanted to get some high dollar MM and Kahn was a Poker Great at the time so betting was just in him, but there was no actual bad blood between either of them…
When people actually show up to tournies and become a part of it they really do not care. It is the fools that never travel and are not a part of the scene that just do not get it. Back in the day people actually wanted to fight and win, now with all the influx of new players, their GG’s and hand shakes before during and after the match, people do not know what a real rival looks like because we are all trying to hug and shit. Quote Ski: Fuck hand shakes I wanna kill you, that is why I am here, we can go get drunk after tho…"
Hey man if that is how you feel then ok. But he played mad safe with Kaz and was not getting wiff punished nearly as much with him. He actually knew combos and strings with Kaz and semi safe pressure. He knew none of that with juri… What he knew how to AA with a SF4 player with like 4 decent AA… That made his Juri good??? But doing random unsafe moves does not make him ass?? Ok, I see your logic…
There is a reason he started Kaz and it was not for the tag combos. But again you sit and think about why he went 3 matches before he switched her to point. She was fodder and only fodder. By that point he knew he stood no chance and Juri had less life than Kaz so it would be over quick!! LOL
In case you didn’t figure it out yet, she will not be a part of the bottom team. Bronson said that he is going to make sure that Renic is the Active player in the elimination. I’m assuming Bronson plans on not participating in the matches.
He wasn’t getting whiff punished with Kazuya because he was getting jumped on. When he stopped the grapplers from jumping with a character he actually knew anti-airs for, they started having to use whiff punishes.
No, I think the random pinwheels are stupid. But I’d be lying if I gave his Juri no credit at all. His usage of fireballs and normals wasn’t awful. He caught them pressing buttons with cr.MK -> combo. He didn’t let people jump when he was able to stop it. He wasn’t divekicking all over the place. And yesterday he was doing anti-air counterhit crouch fierce into a jump cancel dive kick combo, which was admittedly nice. His Kazuya wasn’t really notable in any way that I remember.
I am so not getting you here. FC Jago… The Bison that beat Diago at SB… You are giving his juri credit for being a flow chart juri that the best he came up with was a jump cancelled normal into dive kick… With a player that has been in the SF4 cast for what a year now… But his Kaz gets no credit when he has never played extensively with him but he knew more combos, strings, and overall safe options with… but because he could not stop the jumping with a player without 4 AA nothing notable…
But again the only thing of note you came up with for his juri is really simple shit he probably learned in SF4. Like I said, f that is how you see it, then so be it… But we can agree to disagree?
With all this talk about the matches I would be hard pressed to believe that you think the matches were thrown, but in a much different way than I believe… So as long as that is true I can agree to disagree with you… Fair?
To be honest, I’m pretty positive that Miranda has given up on the competition either way. Just going off of her tweets from last night, she seemed like she was pretty much done with it all.
stream monsters calling rolento unbalanced already lol
I’m not saying anything about how good his Juri is, I’m saying how well he performed with Juri compared to how well he performed with Kazuya.
The jump cancel stuff isn’t in SF4. His video was the first time I saw that combo being used.
You can have all the knowledge of strings and combos you like, but if you can’t land it before you die, it’s not useful. That’s the primary reason I’m talking about how he did better with Juri.
I don’t especially care about the drama but I think there would be no point throwing anything because he’d lose anyway.
