Was watching Spooky’s archive of today, apparently there’s something in place where you can’t tag out immediately after rising from knockdown. This explains a lot of the “y u no tag out” moments.

Seth said that shit was too safe and would make pressure to easy to get out. In this game, when you character life is low…there is basically no reason to not mash the tag input.

I don’t get why people arn’t using pandora when they have 2 characters at like 10% and less than 10 seconds on the clock. I wonder if you can wakeup pandora, because it looked like a hardknocked down with no meter was the finish if the opponent can chip you out when you get up.
Where I play fighting games, white people are the minority and asians are by far the majority. Sure, there’s still bugger all women here, but not once have I seen a white guy turned around because one of the Asian guys said ‘I wouldn’t bother, white people here can’t play fighting games’ (which has happened). We just laugh about it. If there were a legitimate racism problem, something more than just people making jokes or the usual smack talk, then I’d be worried, but there isn’t. And when I’m watching streams, its the same thing there, jokes made about every single possible type of person. White males, black males, Asians, women, everyone. Sometimes, people overstep the line, and if Aris wasn’t well known for being like he is to everyone as he is to Miranda I’d assume it was a bit over the line. But most of the time, it really is in good fun. You don’t have to try and make it into something it isn’t.
Insulting someone because you don’t like him insulting people. Makes sense to me.
If Miranda herself was saying it was over the line and she was offended, then I’m not sure it’s in good fun.
I mean, how offensive can you be to someone, as long as you say “I was only joking”? Eventually it doesn’t matter how much you were joking, and if Miranda got to that point, then who are we to say she should just keep taking it?
Saying “I was only joking” doesn’t suddenly make everything fine, and having a reputation as an asshole doesn’t excuse it when it happens. Isn’t this basically how bullying works?
(That said, I haven’t watched any of the Tekken stream, but this is just common sense, yeah?)
This is what really cringes me about SC2’s community. After every god damn game, no matter how big the blow up, they will always type GG, shake hands, say it’s ok, mull at the back like a pussy. It drives me fucking nuts when they don’t get salty, when they don’t get mad and want to go after the winner, or even worse when the winner who blew up the loser didn’t get in their faces & let them know how much it sucked. At least be like Idra at times when you lose and type some salt, leave without typing GG.
I really enjoyed that Savior vs Bisu PvZ blow up by Bisu when they played back in SC BW days, when people at the time thought ZvP was impossible for the P and all. Bisu comes out and demolishes Savior, the best Z at the time. Guess what? Savior types GG, all 3 fucking games. Bisu doesn’t hurl any trash talk at Savior. Come on I wanted to see some fucking hate from Savior because he got exposed sooo badly in the MSL finals at that time. I want to see some blood boil and see Savior get sooooo pissed and not type GG like those tea party gentlemen. But of course, they had to avoid being ‘Bad Mannered’.

Everything I’ve seen out of this game in final build form has me thinking that all these dudes are not talking out there asses.
Game looks good I don’t know why everyone is so skeptical of it at this point.
I did say ‘most of it’, you also have to factor in that, as said above, this is a reality show and Aris is probably over-doing it for the viewers, since he wasn’t at all like this to Kayo at Evo (who is way hotter than Miranda).
That’s 'cause Aris has it hard for Kayo, but is just acting normally to Miranda.
Like I said earlier, I’m not trying to judge anyone; I’m comfortable with my beliefs on this, if you are comfortable with yours, that is all that really matters at this point.
As for the ‘find a different community’ part, that is you being over-dramatic, imho. Aris does not represent everyone in the FGC, and if you watched the stream even Haunts said he is over-the-top, so I don’t think anyone should make a decision about staying in the FGC over the beliefs of one extreme loudmouth.
This is also a possible explanation.
My stance? Different culture, different rules. “Tolerance” is a stupid term to make practical, why? EX: (Religious Man: You are not tolerant of my religion that does not tolerate you). Intolerance being on both sides of the spectrum. Now I dont wanna get into this argument of “Morale” but I will say this.
The FGC, as Aris said, is a culture. A culture with its alrdy unwritten laws, ways, etc. People trying to change it because they dont tolerate what the FGC is, then using the reason, intolerance, to change it is kinda, imho not a good one.
Jeez, there are so many wrong things in this thread. Can we please just concentrate on the game instead of this soap opera?
