The future will be a bright one when everyone can finally be themselves without fear of ridicule. Ridicule someone if they do something dumb, sure. But don’t attack who they are.
After all the Hype on Bronson, he lost.
I’ll have to say though, he had a seemingly good plan after he lost the first game:
Abuse the Power Gem.
Almost got the win because of it
When Miranda got on the mic today, she specifically said that she has never felt harassed by the FGC except on Cross Assault with Aris. People are in here trying to white knight for something that isn’t nearly as horrible as it seems to be. I’ve been to tournaments where women attended, and they didn’t seem uncomfortable (aside from the smell of sweat filling their nostrils). It just so happens that Aris is on this show and is harassing Miranda.
Even still, you have to realize that the harassment on Cross Assault is most likely for show. Miranda could talk to a Capcom employee and get that shit shut down quick, but she doesn’t. Why not? Because people like to watch drama…and everyone on the show is aware of that.
I never said that it was. You’re missing the point. For Aris and a lot of other people (mostly guys, but it can include women, too), the fighting game scene is a chance for them to relax and be themselves, away from an insane, politically correct culture.
For some guys, being themselves means making mildly lecherous comments or racial jokes. Now, a bunch of idiots are conflating and exaggerating this with actually being racist or sexist. That’s supremely fucking stupid, because they’re not even close to the same.
There is a difference between telling a random female gamer to suck your dick and/or touching her versus commenting her on her freaking thighs. If the latter is also unacceptable to you, then find a different community.
An uneducated opinion. I want to live in a world where people are free from discrimination and can comment on how nice someones ass is regardless of their gender. #IMAGINE
