I can’t wait for the complete awkwardness that’s going to be today’s show with all the top players (including Jago, Mike, n Arturo I think) still there. Or even to think if they are going to touch on the subject on CC Live Tuesday. Can’t wait >: )
The staged drama to hype things up has been in this scene ever since it existed. Nothing new here unless you’re new in any type of competitive gaming community.
If Sherry had beaten Hornet that day, it would have been the most hyped FGC stream in history.
Anyway I pre-orderd the game though I have no plans on seriously playing it.
It was explicitly stated by Mike Ross that they did not throw the match, Arturo him self said they did not throw the match.
There is really no reason to even assume the match was thrown simply because they could have split the money either way, why make your self look like a scrub on camera.
The rivalry was stated to be fake by Arturo, it was to hype the match up as a conclusion to bar fights as far as I’m led to believe.
Now this is the only question I have, were they on some Wrestling shit, throwing the match to make it look like Mike won to make the rivalry look stronger to the public? That would be the only thing either of them could have gained from throwing the match.
