The Cross Assault thread (link to stream in 1st post)

He looked really salty and that shirt didn’t help.

LMFAOOOO That was free.

I found that hard to watch but the shirt was hilarious.
I can understand that he’s not familiar with the game, but the endless jumping back? Akuma was a very bad pick.

Growing the Beast: SFxT Edition (Super Free)

Anyone know if these matches will be up on YouTube later? I’m watching the stream now, but trying to get good quality on a college campus at night is a fruitless endeavor. Even popped out @240p, the lag is horrendous. :shake:

That said, making the loser wear that pink shirt is comedy gold.

I think we all saw that coming. When Aris was helping KOR during the training, KOR didn’t seem to understand some basic concepts (which is really weird since KOR is an EVO winner). I guess Tekken skills don’t carry over to 2d games.

Even when Aris was doing his job properly he simply wasn’t as good as Valle. Valle actually felt like a real sports coach the way he was handling everything. At best Aris felt like an occasional tutor even when he was trying.

Wait, I thought Hugo’s regular Air Grab was ass and that the EX version had total invincibility? So either the grab is better than we though or Kor just didn’t know how to get out of it. It’s probably the later.

Seems like the latter. Dude was jumping back so much Renic could read that shit easy

Either way, holy fucking shit, I am afraid of Hugo now.

Yeah when it comes to the coaching, Valle is damn valuable.

Day 1 elimination is kinda stupid, not that i mind the lost, but imagine if one of the strongest player lose first day.

The grapplers at tekken aren’t nothing like grapplers on sf

kor is from my area too :frowning: should of sent crow or somebody

I do love how after the 2nd match Renic just looked bored. His face was like “seriously, kor? Step it up you got better game than this.”

Yeah Grapplers in general are scariest when the game is new, with high health, easy damage combos and mix ups. Combined with that new hit armor ability, I can’t imagine anybody in Team Tekken being able to win against Renic within the 7 day time period.

Seriously I would have picked Renic vs Tasty Steve, Bronson or maybe 200 Yen.
Taking out the “good” players first, before they get really good at the game.

Kor isn’t a bad player of course, but he has no experience with Street Fighter games and I guess he wouldn’t be a threat for team SF even after a week or something.

Picking off Kor was a waste. Kor doesn’t play 2d fighters, he could have been picked off 2-3 days from now with the same ease. Bronson and 200 yen are going to get a LOT better in the same amount of time playing as Kor would have.

None of which matters unless Aris steps up his coaching game. Valle is not only individually coaching but he is doing things like team schedules and rotating players as well. He has a better gameplan overall. Also Renic and NerdJosh are taking to this game pretty well and Sub is still looking like a bit of a wildcard given how he is progressing in huge jumps then plateau then huge jump instead of a slow climb like most of the other players.

There’ll be some type of “2nd chance” I bet.
