I have to try this.
Could someone post a simple, tasty, easy recipe for curry? I donât have many supplies beside salt and pepper, and I rather not have to buy 10 ingredients for something that I donât plan to make very often.
How to people here spice up their Ramen?
Personally, I like to start by cooking some pork chops in a pan. Nothinâ to complicated, butter minced garlic salt pepperâŚwhatever seasoning Iâm feeling. When thatâs done i cut into strips and toss into a already boiling pot of beef flavored ramen. I also crack an egg and put some shreded cabbage in the ramen and let that cook.
Now THATâS some ballin ass ramen.
I just got one of those full cooked boneless hams(9lbs)
what should I do? o_o
Make fried rice!
Sounds like what I do except i put some Thai chili in mine and I usually cook the pork with lots of garlic and onionsâŚindead of the cracked egg I do the boiled egg deal.
Oh and I put bean spouts, cuz those are tasty.
I put hot sauce in my ramen if Iâm feeling dangerous.
Anyways I have some square won ton wraps in the fridge, and if they havenât expired already, I want to use them for something. Any ideas?
My name ainât Ching Chang!
how?:wonder:
ugh, thatâs one recipe i need to update
My friendâs mom makes Ramin with the egg on top of the Ramin, but itâs fully cooked. I canât get mine to do that, no matter how hot I get the Ramin. Any suggestions?
Mango fruit compote:
ingredients:
2 TBS. Sugar
2 cups water
1/2 cup diced mango
bowl of ice water
Start off with making simple syrup by boiling the water and slowly adding the sugar I like to let it boil for couple of minutes before adding the mango. once you add it stir it so that it incorporates evenly with the sugar and doesnât burn. Once the mixture starts to become gelatinous take it off the heat and place into the ice water to cool and form. The result should be something similar to a preserve.
Make some pancakes/waffles for your girl, sprinkle some powered sugar over them and plop a dalop of this compote on the side and she/he will love you forever.
update on the fired rice?
Havent read through all of this thread but its AWESOME.
Tryin to learn how to cook better, Are there any general dope recipe/cookin sites that you guys like to visit?
In my Ramen, I always fry up some Tempura flakes to put on top of my ramen. Cut up fish cake, cracked egg and slices of fried spam. =) Donât forget the cilantro!
Fried rice is brain dead easy.
If you wanna get crazy though you might wanna use a wok. If not any nonstick sautee pan will work.
First pick out what you wanna put in it. Onion, celery, eggs, etc.
Then what protein. Ham, chicken, shrimp, etc
You also donât wanna EVER use freshly made rice. If you just made it, donât use it. Or at least wait till it cools completely to room temp. Rice cannot be warm for a good fried rice.
Ok so after you got your eggs scrambled, your veg diced, and your proteins diced, you get that sautee pan hot as fuck.
Drop in some veg oil and a little dab of sesame oil. The reason you mix is because although sesame oil is what give it that distinct flavor, itâs smoke point is hella low so itâll smoke up on you and taste burnt. Oh and DONâT USE OLIVE OIL. Maybe olive pomace but not straight olive oil that shit has a low smoke point too.
anyway so you get your pan hot put in yout oils. let the oil heat up and put your proteins in. DON"T MOVE THEM. let them sear all nice and shit and then just start shaking the pan so the move around. If you see that the pan gets a little too hot just move it off the heat donât turn it off. but yeah keep that shit moving. when your proteins look a bit almost cooked throw in your vegetables and shake shake shake. those donât really take a while. just look for the onions to appear translucent and youâre good⌠then last up throw in your rice and move that btch around until everything uncvorporates evenly. then hit it with some KIKOMAN and keep moving that shit around till it comes together and bam
fried rice.
Itâs the ultimate leftover killer. AT least in spick houses where you eat rice like everyday.
EDIT: Put the egg in last.
I really canât recommend that on non-stick.
reason?
I usually put Yoshidaâs Gourmet Teriyaki Sauce and Hot sauce in my ramen.
Sometimes pepper.
I donât cook that oftenâŚbut when I do itâs excellent.
I donât cook that often cause I think itâs boring. But, randomly, I REALLY enjoy making pastaâ dishes and italian dishes in general. Like Spagettii and making Pizza from Scratch.

I canât even stand eggs now.
Unless itâs a Pepper Jack Cheese/Mushroom/Ham/Green Onion Omelette.
Then Iâm all for eggs.
Any thing else: Sandwitches, Egg Salad, Hard Boiled, FriedâŚwhatever the case.
They make me vomit.
I ate too many egg whites and egg sandwitches when I use to work out.
And i use to have them every day before work.
Kinda grew a weakness to them.
Even the sight of them make me gag.
