It’s really not that hard to do against some chars, like necro, elena, and some others… just try it against them, it’s not as hard as against shotos, I can’t do it always to them
I have an addition to Alex (in the corner). It’s kind of the typical shoto/chun/makoto combo that I didn’t think you could do before but I tried it and you actually can.
After the jab, short, fiercexxgenei jin…
mp, f.hp, hop kick x2, hp palm, hop kick x2, hp palm, hp lunge punch (will hit once), genei jin ends and you can do close mk, f.hp, lp lunge punch or close mk, walk up cr.mp, mk dp.
If someone doesn’t understand this (I’m not too clear with the names or anything) then I’ll make a quick youtube video of it.
in genei jin, there are no limits…
you can get them to block, jab, short, strongxxgenei jin, cr. strong, feirce, dash, command throw, round house srk kick, hop kick, feirce, feirce lunge punch, blah blah…
command throw, cr. fowardxxgenei jin, feirce, dash, command throw, round house srk kick, hop kick, feirce, feirce lunge punch, blah blah again…
basic throw opponent with directions left or right, time right to jump towards the opponent and dive kick with foward kick to either hit on cross up or wiff. then command throw or start chain combo into genei jin or what have you…
corner kara palm setup:
jab, short, strongxxgenei jin, cr. strong, round house, feirce, then start kara palming…
jab, short, strongxxgenei jin, cr. strong, towards + feirce, feirce, then start kara palming…
jab, short, strongxxgenei jin, cr. strong, towards + feirce, hop kick, hop kick, palm, then kara palms…
just a few that i’ve been working on… the standing fowardxxgenei jin from s.j. cancel does the most damage but these are pretty damaging as well.
and i’m not one to read a whole 4 page thread so these could have been said already but what ever you do, don’t do this:
jab, short, strong, jab shoulderxxgenei jin… the damage gets scaled way down and it’s not really worth it unless you just want to show flash and the other person doesn’t have but about 25-30% of their life left…
cr. strong, feirce, towards+feirce, never wiff unlike strong, feirce, towards+feirce after chainxxgenei jin.

lol what’s up True Karate. Well to answer your question better, it would help to know who you’re trying to use that ender on. Also the specifics of what you’re doing before the low strong > dragon kicks would help. Usually if you see the dragon kicks whiffing, it means you’re not walking up close enough with the low strong. I’ll be able to answer your question better if you give us more info :wgrin:

(corner) bait them to block and take command throw, cr. mkxxgenei jin, fp + dash, command throw, feirce srk kick, hop kick, palm, kara palm, kara palm, >+fp, dash punch.
can you can do shoulder rush after last palm, then >+fp, dash punch?
also w/ the ending dash punch, do i need to kara w/ standing lk on some characters?
i recently watched a KO video where he does zenpou tenshin in genei jin on chun li and does st.MK that launches. he then dashes under chun and hits a palm that sends her into the corner. any tips on this?
also, how can you make a taunt connect in the middle of a genei-jin combo?
this is absolutely essential knowledge every yun player should have. my opponent needs to truly understand that i am 100% willing to hit him with my hat.
if the palm hits close you can do feirce lunge punch that actually connects if you do it quick enuff.
haha…to connect the hat just put them in a corner combo, connect 2 standing mk then taunt. gotta get them high.
For the taunt to connect your opponent must be cornered (most of the time), and high enough, it will connect mostly against Shotos, Chun, Urien, dudley and Makoto
at least if you ask me Ive never been able to connect it against remy, oro, the twins and hugo, it can works on necro as well
i’m sorry, i should’ve been a bit clearer. i’m having problems with dashing under the airborne chun-li and getting the palm to connect. the few times that i’m doing it fast enough, i have to input the command for the palm backwards, but it still doesn’t connect. it just goes through them.
Ok this may sound stupid but in case you’re tryin it without genei jin then that may be your problem
but anyway, in execution problem I cant really do much for you, you gotta practice
my advice is that you clear your mind
you’re gonna input st forward, then dash, then palm (in the side you are, if you are changin from left to to right , imput the palm in the ride you are on, no backwards stuff) and Im serious sometimes when people have execution problems is cause they practically are mashing the buttons
make sure you do it carefully is not that hard and yeah it can sound stupid but I mean, clear your mind

Also I got a few questions. I always have problem doing the “123” combo thingy.
Is it because I’m pressing the buttons too fast without waiting for the strong punch to finish before I press fierce? Because this is how it looks on screen when I try to do 123 then genei.
I hit light, then I connect with stron, then when I press fierce it doesn’t come out. I always have this problem and was wondering if its a timming problem.
Also is it ok to launch everything in the genei super with strong punch shoulder? Because I find it easier to start the jugling combo with that instead of using the medium kick launcher. I even do it that way if I’m in a corner, dunno why but I can never get the medium kick to connect.

Anyway 123GJ, s.mp, f+hp, [f+mk x2, Palm]x2, hp lunge, lp shoulder (switch), f+hp (switch), c.hk,s.hk
does 90 damage and is easy as hell (easier to keep the float high than hk, palm combos).
The only problem is it doesn’t look so cool as the other combos.
With ghetto-palm you can get 93 Stupid 3 damage…
I started learning Yun but am having a problem.
For some reason my genijin combos change damage randomly. we.g, when I do the standrd shoto combo on ken sometimes it will do 76pts and others it will do over 90pts, and it’s not just this combo either, what am i doing wrong?

Sorry I didn’t check this. Well any finisher envolving the low strong upper kick will be heplful. I mean u can list characrter specfic shit anything it dosn’t matter.
If not I’m just gonna sharpen one of my other favs like Yang or Dud.
