Are you trying to win with just gimmicks like with Alex? Dudley is not very good for that I’m afraid.

One mp into SA2 unblockables and the match is over. I try to bait anti airs and punish. Duck upper under projectiles, close the distance but be wary of the mp.

I think the Dud vs Urien matchup is a little in Dudley’s favor. Crouching FP can stuff a lot of Urien’s normals…

Has anyone ever seen what appears to be Dudley’s j.rh cross-up?

Tonight while playing the computer Chun in 3SOE training mode, I did j. rh out of the corner while Chun was moving in on me. I hit j. rh on Chun’s back shoulder and reversed our positions relative to the corner. I don’t know if this was actually a cross-up or if it was a 3SOE situation rather than an arcade situation. Any input or ideas about examining this more would be appreciated.

there are unique times when j.rh will cross up different characters. I think it depends on what they do on wakeup. for instance alex doing a low jab etc. if characters wakeup with moves they sometimes can be crossed up

I’m not a Dudley player, but I’d like to ask (from you guys’ experience) what Dudley generally struggles against?
Every time I play a Dudley, I get incredibly destroyed. I don’t understand how to keep him from starting his offense :frowning:
For your info, I play Ryu and Twelve

I’m bored and responding to a 6 month old post knowing I probably won’t be responded too… However… Ryu’s st.rh or st.hk is a great tool vs Dudley, can stuff jump ins and can go over Dudley’s cr.mk/cr.hk. Don’t trade when you’re in his st.hk range. He’ll generally beat out your mp. Mix up your pokes because 3rd Strike there are no universal answers. Cr.mk poke and cr.mp poke are good at preventing aggressive players who just try to force their way in.

Also, don’t ever pick Twelve. That’s your biggest issue.

To add to that, Dudley will struggle against characters that can control the ground well. As Ryu, you can use cr.MK x fireball - Dudley doesn’t have an effective answer against cr.MK except for his slow f.HP which you should watch out for and whiff punish. EX Fireball and s.HK are also good to be competitive in the ground game.
