Alright thanks all.
Gonna go practice some of that.
Alright thanks all.
Gonna go practice some of that.
Do either you kin3tix or epsilon_ play on GGPO at all?
i play on ggpo sometimes when im really bored, but 3s on ggpo is seriously so bad.
i prefer to play cps2 games, they just work better. 3s is not a game that works well online.
Pretty much the same for me. It’s been weeks since the last time I hopped on GGPO. Although it’s mostly because I forget about it completely lol.
Well that’s understandable. Maybe if I ever see you guys on there we can play a few. Are your GGPO names the same as on here?
#1 rule to playing dudley is dressing nice
if your threads are sloppy
so is ya mixup
Does anyone have any advice on hit confirming?
Specifically dart shot (f.rh) :r: super or c.mp :r: super?
Try as I may, I get the first hit but the follow up super is always blocked. I assume that means I am too slow in executing the super (SA3) but when I try and speed up in order to compensate, it doesn’t come out at all. I understand that it may be difficult to explain the timing needed here on this forum but I appreciate any advice or input regarding this. Thank you, gentlemen.
Edit: Had a thought, is it better to use ducking xx super instead of going straight to the SA? Also, I apologize if this question has already been asked.
for f.rh, super, im not sure if you already know but they need to be crouching. and its a link, so timing has to be right.
That c. MP to super really isn’t that great compared to the other hit confirms he has. As for the f. RH to super, you need to wait a second after it hits, then do the super motion and piano the buttons. Ducking xx super is better in a lot of cases since it gives extra range on his s. and c. MP and s. HK and makes sure the super won’t whiff at longer ranges.
to confirm f+hk into super
when you do it
look at in between the characters
when you see dudley pulling his arm back up and the opponents characters head blown back in pain.
super.
i got better at it after i played sf4 for a little while.
the way i do it now is start the double qcf after you hear the hit. a lot of people try to cancel into it, but you cant. so you just have to wait till the f+hk to complete (after the sound) to super.
Many thanks to all of you who responded! Your advice helped me greatly and I’m going to practice it all now. Thanks again!
if you have an xbox or ps2 or something, put the comp on no block crouch until you get it really good. then just put that shit on random block and practice hit comfirming that junt.
but like someone else said above, since its a link, execute the qcfx2 after the hit, not during or before or it doesnt work. :3
I only have ggpofba to practice with (having problems with fba shuffle) so I taped player two’s down + back keys and practiced that way and I can confirm f.rh :r: much better now. You have dignity. =}
I am better learning frame grabbing It’s hard to catch on to in 3s (for me) but man Dudley is fun and has an overall good priority on most normal moves.
Got 3rd at C3 yesterday…
Now there was only 6 or 7 people I think but still. I just need to ask a few questions so I can start learning what I did wrong.
When is it a good time to wake up uppercut? Did it too much.
It seems that I always find myself jumping in. What tools does Dudley have to make sure I jump in less?
Whats the timing for the rose after a super move? More then half the time I do it early and it messes me up.
What is the timing for his overhead f.hk into super when they are crouching?I have only done it once and it seemed to just be a random thing.
Heres my noobienovice advice
1.only when you know your gonna embarass someone with it…(ex. when ppl are watching and you KNOW your opponent is gonna do some stupid shit) I try never to use it.
2.A strong mind to whiff punches all over the ground.
3.EEk!
4.Watch the game intensely.Keep you peepers peeled for when the opponent is hit, then bugout on the super.
:bgrin:
not really any good time. all the uppercuts besides ex will get destroyed. the only time ex is worth it is when you know 100% its going to hit. thats it.
c. hk reaches super far and can sweep other sweeps and some pokes. f. mk is cool too. just watch videos and see when they jump and when they dont jump.
different characters have different amounts of wakeup frames. even if the rose doesnt hit, you still get the damage bonus so it doesnt really matter.
we talked about this recently so just look around the last few pages and its on ehre somewhere.
^ Thanks for the tips.
Though I could not find an answer to number 4. I went to page 19 and I dident see anything on it. I will look later though.
I just need to know if you have to do it fast or if you have to wait a long time.
read the whole thread. seriously.
