s.mk is great anti-air.

s.rh->ex.mgb would be better, right?

Taunt is the best anti-air.

s.rh into ex mgb doesnt even work, and even if it did would be a huge waste of meter.

Why would you prefer to do this over the 38575 good anti-airs that he has? If they get hit by the st. rh, you’d be whiffing ex mgb while they already have recovered from the air so you’re just giving your opponent free damage. Even if they parry, the situation above could still happen depending how deep you hit them. Even if you hit them during the ex mgb, they would most likely be hit early in the move, so you get shitty damage, a waste of meter, and poor knockdown setup because they’ll have woken up by the time you finish whiffing the rest of the ex mgb.

is a good way to punish ken’s super blocked lk-mk link corkscrew?

f+forward/st. roundhouse x strong upper xx super. Or just st. roundhouse x ex mgb > whatever.

dont do lk mk chain, youre missing out on alot of damage/positioning.

you can also just s.rh ex mgb ken’s blocked super.

In terms of AA, you’re not going to be able to cross up cork the guy if he’s a good player. Good players will know how to space and avoid that. You can use his chains for AA or bait parry into something else. Get creative and get unpredictable.

also another really cool punishment for sa3.

red parry 3rd hit of shippu, jump straight up. come down with j.fp into combo of your choice.

if you do this with makoto you can 100% stun them with the normal stun combo.

:frowning: i still use lk chain to punish sometimes cause its better damage than throw and it builds meter. I need to get better at st. rh xx EX mgb i guess.

Just some quick questions.

Is it possible to punish Urien’s max range crouching roundhouse with ducking super like you can with the shoto’s or do you get pushed back too much?

Is it possible to get out of Oro’s unblockable? I’ve read here in the archive that you supposedly can super them on wakeup to knock them away and eat the Yagou but I’ve never seen anyone do it…

Urien max range sweep is safe against Dudley.

The only way out of Oro UBs is through crazy Jesus parrying.

On the topic of punishing, not sure if this was ever covered or mentioned but I’ll throw it out anyway for all us Dudley players:
= Shoto cr. forward x ex hado =

  • Punish with parry the first hit of ex hadou, then immediate forward ducking upper (goes under second hit of ex hadou) xx super.

you could also press kick again for the uppercut, i dont believe they recover, so ducking uppercut xx super for more dmg.

I did say to use upper and not go straight into super. It can be a meterless punish as well, but best to do once you have that meter to tack on the super for good damage and to scare your opponent. Ducking upper xx super is around 4-5 more points of damage, with a little extra stun as well, compared to just supering alone (tested with Rocket Upper). It’s also easier to do anyway :rock:.

kin3tix: thanks for the tip. i’m surprised at how often i red parry the fireball after c.MK nowadays, so it might be feasible after all. does this work for both Ryu and Ken’s fireballs?
