If you’re talking about EX Flash Chop or EX Slash Elbow, you can cancel into super off of any of the hits, but if you cancel off of the second hit, you don’t get the full super (and you waste meter). If you cancel off of the first hit, you still waste meter, but you get the full super.

To be honest with you, just using ex flash chop in a combo does more damage and conserves more meter than cancelling ex flash chop to SAII.
However, if using SAII will get the win after the ex flash chop, use it.
How many hits do you usually get when doing Alex’s Back+HP to an opponent who’s back is turned to you?

What’s his best post stun combo? I’ve been using J.HK, St.MK, EX Chop, SA2.
What’s a good tick move? I’m so used to using Ken close MP tick throw on block/HP SRK on hit, does Alex have anything similar?

Post stun you’ve got-
QCF+HP–>HCB+HP
Jumping HK/QCF+HP–>St. MK–>SA2
Jumping HK/QCF+HP–>St. MK–>QCF+LP/2P or F, D, DF+2K
QCF+2PxxSuper is not recommended.
Post-stun… yeah, most of the combos are already covered. HP Flash Chop does about the same damage as jump-in fierce, IIRC. You have HP Flash to HP Backdrop, HP Flash to b.fierce (choke-hold), you can go for knockdown again with HP Flash to s.forward/s.strong to EX Flash (keeps them cornered if you have them cornered, which is advantageous for Alex). You can also go for a tick-throw mixup, and do something like HP Flash, tick with s.jab/cr.jab/cr.short and Power Bomb, but be warned, a fast-reacting opponent might jump out.
Biggest damage punish is usually HP Flash, then s.forward to super.

I really dig him for his unique abilities; however I still wish he his command grab had the same priority as Hugos, that you cancel the LP Flash Chop like the MP and HP versions, he had at least 1 good crouch combo, and the Stun Gun SA wasn’t worthless. Other than that…
I checked and couldn’t find it. What are some good Power Bomb setups? I know about (and have been doing) the cLK + LP Power Bomb. What I love to do (I don’t think it’s been covered here, correct me if I’m wrong) is do a jMK, LP Power Bomb. If you time it, it can go right over the guy’s and it’s almost like an empty jump in, only with more risk of course. Pretty safe on block too.

I like to use this on hugo (sparingly) because if done at the top of my jump it’ll clip hugo in the head and then the opp usually blocks any follow up so its powerbomb city. You can also use j.jab/j.short > powerbomb but the timing is different from j.mk.
