How are you guys charging up for stomps? I like to use stomps when close but I just turtle(holding db) cuz of other opponents better normal attacks then I wait and do a stomp when I think they’re going to attack or to cross up. I just hate doing that. I don’t like using stomps from about mid range cuz opponents can block/parry it when they see it. I don’t know I guess I’m looking for better stomp advice.

Charge partition your stomps. It allows you to incorporate stomps into your offensive game rather than sitting in one space and waiting for a charge. I already mentioned a couple charge partitioned stomp setups in my earlier posts.

u can charge partition stomps as part of alex’s mixup game. after a knockdown what i try to do is keep standing and ducking repeatedly above my opponent to keep guessing whether i’ll set up either for a high/low meaty or a headstomp during his wakeup frames. if he’s conditioned to block low, it’s a good time to use a charge partitioned stomp. hell, i’d almost call it option select headstomping (if there is such a thing) cuz it gives me the option to spam the ducking animation for a possible low parry (if my timing is really bad), or the option to stuff wakeup attacks. i believe i’ve seen ksk do it a few times, but perhaps i’m going about it all wrong, so if anyone has any better suggestions, lemme know.

Agreed.DA GAME mains combo with SA2 is Fierce Flash Chop>F+Fierce XX SA2.You have a lot of options with SA2.It sucks in most people’s eyes but it gets the job done

That must be a combo you use after you dizzy somebody. Cuz there’s no way on god’s earth you’ll catch someone with a fierece flash chop otherwise…especially not at close enough range to do s.MK to SA2. f+HP pushes you back even farther any ways so unless it’s at point blank range after a dizzy…you’ll never get that combo. Seriously guys…just stick to s.MK to EX flash chop and tick kara throw setups.

LOL. No one seems to figure that Alex’s EX Knee has invince on start up. I figured it’d be pretty obvious since it beats out a lot of shit on wake up.

how to bait a wake up throw ?

sigh … i got thrown like a dummy , when i tried to parry .
i get shoryu when i try to walk up throw .

Umm whats the best thing to do to the opponant when they are in stun? And i cant land the two hit combo when the guy jumps in and i c. fierce and then i try to do the rising knee liek thing but i cant land it. Can anyoen explain it to me?

As far as I know, Alex’s best option after stun is Fierce Flash Chop followed by Fierce Back Drop. I suppose if you’re crazy enough to have Hyper Bomb stocked, you should go for that instead of the Back Drop.

As for juggling off of Alex’s crouching fierce, you have to connect it so only one hit connects. I’m not sure how to time it, but I hear that you have to start the c.hp shortly after the other guy starts jumping so the second hit connects at the peak of their jump.

As for comboing off c.fierce, yeah, only one hit can connect.

How is s.fierce as a meaty?

After stun, you have some options. The most common one to do is fierce flash chop -> fierce backbody drop. Now this is powerful and simple, but if the opponent is in the corner, you’re throwing him out of there which is not good. So a fierce flash chop, walk up slightly s.mkxjab chop works better, though its slightly weaker. If you have some meter to waste, or he has SLIGHTLY enough energy to survive, try fierce flash chop, walk up s.mk EX flash chop. Does better damage than fierce back body drop, keeps him in the corner and gives a knockdown.

besides fierce flash chop and reversal from parry, any useful combination for his hyper bomb? (i know that SA2 is better but i’m trying to find ways to use his SA1)

any tips vs akuma? i’m having a lot of problems against akuma players…

If the person you are facing empty jumps a lot, activate hyperbomb when he’s JUST about to land. Its inescapable if you hit it at the right time. Go to practice mode and set the opponent to jump and try to catch him to get the hang of it.

Here is one learn to parry Akuma!!! If you parry alot Alex will destroy him…

vs Akuma

for air-hadou spammers, ex shoulder them right after they jump/jumpback.
it’s either you ended up hitting akuma’s feet while mid air or your shoulder whiffs and you’re ready and waiting for his landing… then punish.

rarely would you see an akuma doing an empty backjump. they throw fireball most of the time.

and learn to parry the last two hits of akuma’s roundhouse tatsumaki…

that’s basically the style i’m facing…

i’m having some problems with his sempuu kyaku so i block most of the times and try to parry the last 2 hits and follow up with SAI or jab power bomb (with SAII), the problem is, i tend to miss the second parry most of the times, which gives them a free shoryu…

i believe that this is just a timing issue, but tks for the tips…

Well, I have been known to super cancel MP and HP flash chops into the Hyper Bomb…but that opportunities for that don’t come very easy either.
