Back on the hunt for sick hoodies at an affordable price. Any brands you guys suggest I should be lookin’ for? LRG has been done and done again where I live, so I’m trying to branch out.

www.karmaloop.com

It has tons of hoodies for an affordable price.:wgrin:

Word, thanks. Sometimes gets old searching through every single hoodie, but i like their system.

a denim noob is better suited to starting off with a cheap pair and moving on up (word to george and weezy) to a nicer pair later on.

i recommend reading up on denim first (emphasis on that; try www.hypebeast.com’s denim forum) and then starting with a pair of levi’s 501 stf (shrink to fit.) they’re only ~$30, you can get them ANYWHERE and if you’re doing things right, they will give you a great custom fit/look.

once you get used to denim (there’s a LOT to learn,) those brands listed are good, well-known brands.

another brand i’d add to the list in the same price range (and my personal favorite) would be APC.

one thing to mention that you may not know already, these brands we’re listing are raw denim, the type that needs to be worn over time (months, years…) so as to make them “you.” because of that, a lot of the time people who are really into denim will have only one or two pairs that they wear for years at a time. it’s not usually a “rotation” type deal where you wear a different pair every day.

the pocket your wallet/phone sits in “fades” into position over time, the creases behind your knees when you bend them crease into “honeycomb” patterns over time… little things that add up to make the denim represent YOU.

just read up a bit on raw denim and selvage and you’ll be good.

P.S. there’s absolutely nothing wrong with gap jeans, they actually make some decent pairs of entry-level denim.

do you sag your jeans like nobody’s business?

Biggzy: You need to look into different Levi’s. Try the Levi’s Vintage Collection if you have a nearby Levi’s store. Shit’s good. Otherwise I’d recommend Japanese brands like Samurai and Sugar Cane since they have a lot of “relaxed” fits.

i don’t see what’s wrong with gap jeans. i wore gap denim jeans at school and i had nice raves about them until they ask where i got them from. they just look at me weird, but were stoked when they first saw it. i like the way it fits too.

i like apc and nudies

Yeah I guess. APC Rescues maybe or New Standards without sizing down. Nudie Average Joe, Regular Alfs, Straight Svens, or Slim Jims actual waist would probably work according to Biggzy’s tastes. For some reason thinking about Nudies also reminded me of Imperials. Imperial Kings are a good choice too.

Gap jeans itches for me, Maybe My skin…IDK:rofl:

you make it sound like you need a damn college degree to wear jeans.

More like a GED than a college degree. Denim can be tricky sometimes. For instance, APC was mentioned numerous times in this thread. If Biggzy bought some APC New Standards, he’d have to know that they are vanity sized. If you’re size 32 waist, you should probably buy a size 29/30. APC jeans stretch a really good amount so the sizing down will account for that. Since he wants something with a “baggy feel”, which will be refer to as a relaxed fit from here on, he should probably size down just one to 31 or even buy a 32.

my denim is cooler

:woot: talk of clothing?? preposterous!

i dont go into denim alot really other than jeans…mostly all the jeans that mold to the wearer and are high quality are a litle expensive…any body know where to get some decent SOLID black bootcuts? maybe with some screenprinting?
usually i just paint my own jeans, ive got a pretty decent method, check it out

stonewashed

i guess im one of those people that prefers the look over the label…

I got these gucci mens from bigdiscount for less than half the retail price ($90)

Do not want.

 your entitled to your opinion, but im not giving them out,so your piece is not needed, thank you:rofl:

Why did I read all that and why is wearing a pair of jeans so complicated?

i don’t sag at all. those are honey combs… i’m assuming you know what i’m talking about…?

gucci shades run that low? i never knew.

i was actually thinking about getting a new pair of shades before i head out to frxi. my current choice pair is a versace that i got back in october… but i wore that to nec and since then some people have used it as a marker to identify me for whatever reason.

i’ve thought about upgrading to prada, but all their good ones run in the 300’s and 400’s… and i honestly don’t know if i’m willing to pay that much for a pair of shades. even their ‘cheap’ models run in the mid to high 200’s.

and nice grab on the suit!

edit: okay… the sunglass hut site is being lame. the one i was trying to direct to is the rimless one with wide, white arms. second from top left.
