actually there was one year it was held in nebraska. But all other years beside that one was held at super just games (aka nickle city)

…So I was thinking ( dangerous, I know) and I have decided to run a league out of my place starting in 2010. For the most part it would be just like gatherings except with a leader board. I’m organizing a 2010 calender now.
I would like some feed back on this so start sending me your thoughts people. Chop-Chop.
This is more of a SF league but other games are welcome too
Would this league be singles or teams of Street Fighter?..and will it include Super Street Fighter as well?

Just throwing that out there.
I am having a session tomorrow, Wednesday. f you guys want to show up and play some games you are more than welcome to I have a PS3 with Tekken 6. I will try to get a few friends to bring another system and game so we can have enough games going on instead of just players waiting in line to play.
If you want to bring a system that is fine as well. I have enough TVs to support 3-4 Set-ups so if you can bring one that would be awesome!
I really just want to try and get new players to show up and play some of the veterans and probably end up getting some games in with new people. I figure it will also be fine for the veterans to get some offline play going as well!
I plan to have the session around 4-11PM or later. Depends on how everyone feels.
I will also be hosting Melty Blood. So if you guys want to get some Melty Blood action going on you can show up for some Melty as well.

…A league it is then. and yes Scottemad, Just like ranbats. Your stats will be kept and your rank is based on your league W-L record. It will be for singles and for team. I’m about half way done planning 2010 and should be done by morning. Would anyone be up for another gathering at my place next weekend. Im game for everything Joe, the league idea is great btw and I would come to any gathering you throw. Also I can help you learn how to run brackets and stuff if you need me to show you at all. Ill bring my laptop to the gathering.
In regards to the league perhaps you might want to look at all the major tournaments going on around the country also to help you out with the schedule. Also hit me up if you ever need help with anything, but you know that!

Time: 5pm-Whenever people go home
Games: 1 setup for SF4 and BB is GUARANTEED. There will be one additional 20" crt available for whatever people want to play. Also encouraged to bring extra crt’s, 360’s, ps3’s, whatever.
Turkey Toss #R '09: Not really sure if there is rules to this. You toss a fucking turkey and see who can toss it the furthest. Unless I’m feeling extremely generous and decide to get a giftcard or donation for the event, it’s probably gonna be bragging rights only. ARE YOU MAN ENOUGH TO TOSS A TURKEY THE FARTHEST?!
How do I get in?: I’m cutting off srk’ers at 15 invites. PM ME THAT YOU WILL BE ATTENDING AND I’LL RESERVE A SPOT FOR YOU. This is the easiest way for me to keep track of head count, since room is fairly limited.

I have a PS3 with BB and a PS2 with 3S and GGXAC+. I only have one setup at this time, so if anyone showing up could bring a smaller tv, 20" or less would be best for space issues, that would be a great help.
What to Bring:
I have an extra PS3 Stick as well as a 360 Fight Pad, but that’s it!
Please bring your own stick/controllers since I don’t have much in the way to help out. Also, feel free to bring whatever games you’d like to play, at the last gathering, we played Rainbow Edition…so that proves we play ANYTHING.

hey dead, how exactly is the ranking going to work, r u going to be taking wins and loses from casuals or from tournaments, and will there be a venue fee next week for the gathering, if so how much?
Here’s the skinny on the fat man’s plan…
League rank is based on your league W/L record only
I’m running 9 ranbats, 2 money tourneys and a Grand Championship tourney. Only the Grand Championship is factored into your league W/L record.
Ranbats are run mainly for points, money tourneys are held for prizes and the Grand Championship is like the big anual event where all top competitors from league and tournment duke it out for titles and trophies.
I’ve revised the schedule Ive made like 3 time already but I think I packed all I can into it now.
M,W,Thur -League nights 6-12
One tournment a month and one Gathering a month
The Friday Before the monthly gathering is a Free play(No venue fee)
IF there is a venu fee for next weekend it will be Free on friday and 5$ on Saturday and Sunday. I will have the post up by Wednesday with all next weekend gatering info.
