Doesn’t Go have it beat ? I blame people trying to legitimize SF, by comparing to Chess, either way.

Anyways, glad this was a bumped. Trying to get into it, for the next couple months. Chess is pretty huge in.my area and it’s probably the best game for beginners to learn when it comes to strategy/board games.

The strategy in chess is similar to fighting games like the old school Street Fighter and old school Mortal Kombat games. The same can be said for the newer SF and MK games slightly.

@Femto Just download the chess.com app. The amount of tactics puzzles you get per day are good enough(10 per day)+daily chess puzzle. And you can play some pick up games. Don’t play blitz(10 mins or less games unless you are trying to play tournaments where blitz is sometimes a requirement. I’d do 15 mins with +10s per move.

Unlimited access to the lessons is the thing that can improve your game dramatically. But the tactics stuff is how you beat beginners because it helps you take advantage of a blunder which beginners make a lot of. Sometimes you can win 10 moves into a game off of 1 poor decision.

I wish this thread was more popping but Jion just be sucking this thread all up.
