And soon as Torchlight 2 is out…
Seriously though trying to get some people together for that.

I don’t think Konami would use the title Castlevania 5 since there’d be about 20 games between that and Super CV 4. Oh wait, companies love to confuse the fuck out of consumers with their numbering schemes.
Carry on.
You mean like Contra 4 on the DS only?
Rondo of Blood had anime cutscenes, you guys remember that shit? They were cheesy as hell and out of the blue.
I love DoS, I think it’s a great game. It’s just the art style that I don’t care for. Ever do a playthrough as Alucard/Yoko/Julius? That shit is fun as hell. Yoko is shit tier though, so I always end up leaving her at the beginning of the game and my map at 99.99%(I do this so I can switch seamlessly between Alucard and Julius. If you get Yoko she fucks up the order, fuck that bitch.)
Julius isn’t as beast as he was in AoS, but he’s still GDLK.
I’ll sign up for both Torchlight 2 and Lord of Shadows 2.
As long as i get more Robert Carlyle and Patrick Stewart.
I really did not like the animu styling’s of DoS or AoS personally though CotM,HoD,and OoE were much better games.
I agree they should all be downloadable titles, hell i’d even buy them as Wii ware titles.
I hate playing on a handheld when home so much i bought a new gamecube/gameboy player setup just to avoid playing CoTm and HoD on a damn handheld.
Lords of Shadow was great till the story went off the rails. They could have literally given the entire canon a strong foundation, and come up with an excellent reason as to why the Belmonts always hunt dracula. I’ll go more into this if anybody likes. Instead they fucked it up to pull some MGS shit at the end.
Please elaborate, always up for an informed view on the subject.
I liked LoS’s canon, but hated the exposition both at the beginning of every chapter and right before the final boss. Could have done much more with fewer lines methinks.
Remember the animated pencil drawings that game used to show what Gabriel’s attacks looked like? I want a colored version of that, in 2D, to be LoS2.
I’ll definitely be checking those out. Bloodlines had a lot of really fantastic ideas that would be worth revisiting (especially that crazy mirror shit in the last level. I loved that!)
BTW, I miss those Guilty Gear podcasts you guys were doing. Loved em! Any chance of those making a return now that AC+R is in the works?
I love the anime in RoB. It’s a bit cheesy yes, but it’s very representative of its time which I like. That game is still amazing to me. I can’t get enough of it. Every level is like a small experience in and of itself.
I also don’t get the love for J Mode in DoS. I mean, it’s fun for a little bit but then it gets boring. Is it being able to play as Alucard again?
J-mode was dope. It was even more amazing when you try and* low level run it / kill bosses only*. The fight with Death is crazy when you’re under-leveled. If it weren’t for Yoko and Alucard and figuring out the I-Frames between switching characters, I wouldn’t have beaten that shit until someone finally made the guide on how to do it. The end boss wasn’t anywhere as difficult as Death was. I think I died so many times, I was relying on sound cues as much as my vision.
Yoko’s magic hits like a truck plus she heals when she uses physical attacks, iirc. She’s dope.
I had just as much fun trying to speedrun through Richter mode in PoR. I forget what my time was. It was low though.
New 3DS title and LoS 2. Everyone in here can be happy…maybe.
Oh look Trevor Belmont!
TREVOR BELMONT
I really want a new Symphony of the Night with fully 3d models but played on a 2d plane. The game is beautiful on PS1, on a current system it would look amazing.
But really, I just want another Alucard game…
I’ll tell you whats fun, a low level luck-mode run in SOTN with no save points (besides the last one). Oh yeah, you can’t get the HP max ups you get from bosses or secret rooms either. All your power ups must be turned off and you can only use them when you need them to progress further (the bat and mist)
Thats pretty much my modified version of the naked Alucard run without neutering the gameplay too much. I don’t think its possible to do this legitly but its fun lol
I think they should make it hard as hell (like Dark Souls) and give the players the option to choose the difficulty, easy mode would be like the original game’s difficulty.
Damn, Trevor Belmont. I haven’t seen him since I killed his “clone” in SotN.
Well AoS had that older-style look to it. It looks similar to the art styles used in SotN for example. HoD will always be, for me, my most hated Metroidvania on the GBA/DS.
I would definitely enjoy having that.
AoS too!
There’s a place near where I live called “Belmont Cafe.”
There’s also a street where a bunch of my friends used to live called “Belmont.”
But I don’t want to buy a fucking 3DS…dammit man.
Me neither.
Got a neighborhood called Belmont in my city. :bgrin:
Agreed god damn it.
