I “killed” him 5 times in a row and he just kept getting back up, but I was getting XP for each defeat though :confused:

You can’t kill him. Once you attack him again, you just break the seal that keeps him and the fight starts over.

Albus is a lot of fun. Optical Shot and Max Shot w/ Teleport assist is too good. And goddamn he can shoot is basic bullets like a frickin’ machine gun.

Max attribute points is pretty comical. You do so much damage on everything, especially glyph unions. What’s the best way to make money? I’m trying to buy everything from the shop to contribute toward my item completion percentage.

Equip two Gold Rings, and the Inire Pecunia back Glyph. Go to Tymeo Mountain through the far right entrance, forward one room, then down one room. Now repeatedly dive-kick into that lamppost right below the screen transition. You’ll keep bouncing back up to the room above and falling down again, so the post resets. And you’ll earn 1000 gold per time.

And invincible backdash. And invincible Fei-Long kick.

Hell yeah! Triple Ignis destroys any variation of Giant Skeleton. EDIT: Also Blackmore. :rofl:

I’m pretty sure double Gold Ring + Inire Pecunia in Tymeo Mountain is faster. That’s a guarenteed (sp?) 1000g every time, and you can hit the thing about once a second.

i went to the monestary and went to the top floor and killed tons of zombie, every other kill basically drops $1000, and there are about 5 lights in that room, so its tons of money. seeing as the zombies re spawn over and over again.

Anybody take Albus through hard-mode Large Cavern or Training Hall yet? :rofl:

Got through hard-mode Cavern with Shanoa again and DIDN’T skip the chests this time. But alas, no Alexandrite. Got through Training Hall… same thing. Fuck.

I don’t think that such items should be a RANDOM DROP at the end of optional, difficult dungeons.

Training Hall is easy. You should be able to clear that without taking damage after you’ve learned what direction to aim each magnet anchor.

And Albus will probably mop the floor with Large Cavern. Teleport Max Shots should make short work of Double Hammers and Weapon Masters. Dunno though, still in Drac’s Castle as him ATM.

I go to Monster Manor, in the upper left room there are 3 imps and a candle and most of the time I get at least 3000 per “run” and I can level up weapons at teh same time.

Does Albus have hidden Attribute Points? I’m sometimes seeing damage go up without a level up.

^ His Max shot does Dark + Lightning damage. Optical shot does Light + Dark (I think both portions do both elements; I’ve never seen the dark orb do more or less than the light orb on any given target). The fire kick is Fire. Not sure if the bullets are Slash or Strike.

Max Shot also inflicts Curse on some enemies. And I think the bullets are Slash, but I’m also not positive.

But I was asking if they actually gave him levelable Attribute Points like Shanoa. Cuz I’ve noticed some attacks increasing in damage without me earning a level up.

Also, just did Large Cavern at 31 as Albus. It took a few tries. Weapon Masters were harder than I expected because the hammer on their back makes them a larger target, and therefore a bit tricky to teleport behind without getting hit. They can also hit for 170 damage at 31. The Large Demon’s divekick can also hit for around 250-ish.

Ah, okay. I misunderstood. If you’re seeing a damage difference, then he probably has that at work.

I really wish they gave these additional playable characters in the Castleroids their own stat screens. And, you know, stories.

Holy shit Death is easy with this strategy.
Vol Luminatio, Melio Sasis, Dominus Agony
Death Ring + Judgement ring
Each glyph union does about 2400 damage.

I totally agree on a stats screen.

As for story… Julius, Yoko, & Alucard got a story in DoS. Stella & Loretta Lecarde also got a story in PoR. In both cases it was minimal, but nonetheless there. But for stuff like Richter & Maria or Old Axe Armor in PoR… what could they have done? Richter & Maria are already dead storywise at that point in CV history, and OAA is just a faceless enemy. However, in cases where they could have worked out a story but didn’t, such as Albus here, I agree it would be nice to have one. Even one as minimal as the DoS sub-characters story.

What exactly are all the attacks Albus has? I don’t have a teleport o.O
And you can’t absord the glyphs in the statues right?
