I’ve almost equally enjoyed the classicvania’s, metroidvania’s and the new series, so either way I win. However I do kind of wish that this had been 3 console games because I am really interested in mirror of fate, but I do not have money for a 3DS.Oh well I’ll just youtube it I guess
One day 3DS’s will be cheap and you can play it then. It will be here forever now you know.
She still becomes a housewife in the main canon regardless. That’s why I find it ridiculous that you blast Mirror of Fate for it. Doesn’t mean she won’t come from a linage of witches in the LoS canon.
You’re missing it. In Castlevania 3, she doesn’t start out as a useless woman. Stop kidding yourself. I’ll put money on it that she won’t have any significance in Mirror of Fate other than being Trevor’s wife.
Sounds like she knows her place.
Mirror of Fate still has a fourth playable character that’s uncounted for and Simon mentions in the first trailer that both of his parents fell to Dracula’s forces. You’ll never know
Mirror of Fate will get a demo shortly before release
Aria of Sorrow Speed Run coming up. It is on normal I believe and estimated completion time is 25 min. Afterwards is Julius Boss Rush.
That new trailer got me hyped.
Never played a Castlevania game before, just the demo of Symphony of the Night on XBLA. Which is the best one for DS?
Portrait of ruin imo, but most will probably say Order of Esselia or w/e the spelling is.
Varies on what you are looking for.
You want something similar to Symphony of the Night, then most would agree that Dawn of Sorrow. Personally, Order of Ecclesia is my favorite on the DS with Aria of Sorrow for GBA being my favorite 2D Castlevania game.
My favorite 2D Castleroid is Circle of the Moon myself. But on the DS I’d give it to Ecclesia.
Circle of the moon made me mad when I didn’t start with a Belmont and when the first enemy I killed dropped a card. I promptly got myself killed and learned just how incredible that game is.
I still can’t believe the first skeleton dropped a card -_-
I think my first “Oh shit” memory for CotM was running into either A) The mass of worms on the ceiling because they were fucking me up to be such simple creatures or B) seeing the Earth demon and wondering how a “boss” just shows up like that unannounced. That’s when I realized that CotM gives no fucks.
All of them are good, but Order of Ecclesia is the best one IMO. OoE plays more like the earlier games in the series (pre-SotN), yet still keeps what made SotN popular.
Umm no part of this it’s true except the IMO.
I’d bury this post for the “there is a town it’s like 2” argument incoming alone.
Order is by no means a bad game.
But neither is it a rank above Cotm, or PoR.
I put it on par with soma’s wacky eclipse adventures as a solid B entry into the series, good not great.

I hate the protagonist’s design in OoE, why cant she have her back covered so that anime fgts dont wanna waifu her lowres sprite
The back, shoulder blades and nape of the neck is where women exhaust spent magical energy. Any piece of fabric would be torn to shreds by the hot gas she is expelling. It’s practical.
Its kind of like how magical men need to wear some kind of tube top, or no shirt under their overcoat.
Kinda like how Bruce Banner should wear pants with an elastic waist?
