are you referring to the most recent stream from the last wnf? In that one he says it refills like in training mode.
he said it was infinite but maybe that’s what he meant. he was asked by ultra david if there was a damage buff to pandora mode. he said no damage buff, just infinite meter.
As someone who plays as Cammy all the time, I am not sure who I should team her with. I know the game isn’t out, but any ideas of who you may team her with?
Edit: It shows Chun Li as her official partner? We can pick any person to partner with though, right? I have been reading about pandora, gems, etc. Not so sure about picking team members.
No you have to pick their official tag partner or the the game disc might explode…o_0
The vids I saw were two people playing. And they picked separate people. I didn’t know if things were different for a single person, or if you were assigned a partner. God forbid I ask a damn question and get a legit answer.
Dude melflomil is just messing around. You can pick who you want though the question your asking is who to pair her up with. Thats up to you as who you wanna pair up with cammy as im in that same boat, and i cant seem to pair nina up with anyone. Yet…
Wow it feels awesome to troll people, I must do this often:badboy:
It’s my fault for asking questions. I seldom venture outside of tech talk. I will stop participating in the other forums.
Lol dude I was joking ask alll the questions you want. Someone will answer them
I think I’m fallimg in love with Cammy. It took so long to get decent with Akuma (ssf4), I’m just now looking for an alt (has to be female).I tried everyone and Cammy White feels natural to me, so I can’t wait to see how they pair. As of right now, I have no idea what a great pair would be. My most recent tekken experience came from tekken tag when I wasn’t serious about fg’s, but I’ve always liked and used Lei,Xioue(?),Ogre,Jin,Julia, Yoshimitsu,Heihachi. I’m a loyalist so who the hell knows!!
Is it true that there’s no 1 frame links in the game?
Just watched desk combo video. It seems u can combo anything from corner ex arrow.
I wonder if she can juggle close hp (or any cancelable normal) into hooligan grab. Something like bnb combo, ex arrow, crmp, crmp, close hp, hp hooligan. (corner).
king can juggle and finish with his air throw.!
edit: looking at the video again. i dont think this will be possible.
From that video Desk posted, Cannon Strike is now 20 frame startup instead of 12 frames as in earlier builds / SF4. Close mp also seemed faster by a frame or so. Will post up more data stuff once I get hold of the game.
Wow 20 . It looks slower than that
Well he’s just talking about startup to active. You also have to count jump startup, jump time, and descent time (if it doesn’t hit on the first frame.)
Well it should have aton of hit stun
I wonder if theyll give her back spin knuckle a better use. like overhead propery and a way of combing into vs a standing opponent
Spin knuckle would be the worst overhead in the history of SF.
There’s probably ways to combo into it using tag cancels if you particularly wanted to.
Long time Cammy main here, all the way from the original SSF2 to SSF4, didn’t pick up AE or 2k12 though. Anyway.
I’ve been doing a lot of researching and watching other characters, there’s barely anyone playing Cammy with any kind of Competency, except the recent Desk combo video A few things i’m excited/concerned about for Cammy in sfxt:
Dash cancelled SA: The shennanegans of this are potentially awesome, as is the opportunity to free super from a switch cancel, especially with a speed gem active to get in close and punish anyone that stays crouching low in anticipation. Just as useful as I’ve seen Ryu’s DC fireball. I can also see this being a staple for anyone with a physical attack that travels over distance. Paul and Nina were my mains in Tekken 3 (stopped playing Tekken after 3, wasn’t the same style of game anymore imo) and they could certainly benefit from being able to DC phoenix smasher and blonde bomb. Not to mention the free super/ex after a switch cancelled anti-air or throw.
A more refined TKCS: I’ll admit I never really used CS in it’s TKCS incarnation, it just didn’t fit my style. I played Cammy footsie-heavy with a lot of counter attacks and short sharp combos. Long combos aren’t my thing, which may haunt me in SFXT, but I know there are several characters that are hard hitters. Cammy so far though appears to be short-changed on the damage side of things. But as hardly anyone has played as her it’s really difficult to tell at this point. Being able to jump cancel normals opens up a lot of potential for CS. Ibuki/Cammy anyone?
Combo-ability. She doesn’t appear to have many tools to continue combos. Normally I would expect a lack of combo extending moves to indicate more damage per hit or a LOT of utility. Cammy doesn’t appear to have any of these. it’s obviously early days and this point of concern does also suffer from the prevoius one in that we’ve barely seen anyone use her. Could still be some hidden gems (no pun intended) in there somewhere. Lots of characters seem to have surprising properties to their normals and command normals; Stagger, ground bounce, wall bounce, floats etc. I’m hoping there’s some love for Cammy somewhere in there, we already have a wall bounce on spin knuckle, it would be nice to see something like additional float/air time on ex SA or a crumple on CS counter-hit. Just some additional tools to give Cammy some surprises up her sleeve to fully move her into the new juggle engine. At the moment she appears a bit stunted.
Until I have a handle on how Cammy handles juggles, it’s difficult for me to pick a partner for her. I’d like it to be one of: Nina, Paul, Xiaoyu, Julia, Lilli, Poison, Raven or Yoshimitsu. They’re who i’m aiming for anyway
I remain unconvinced at the moment, but I’m hoping I’ll enjoy Cammy as much as I did in (S)SF4
I mean it should be changed beyond just having an overhead property. Like maybe do what they did with goukens light palm. Or make it similar to kings Jaguar step with different follow ups
A high-low mix-up option on spin knuckle would add to it’s value. A sort of mini-rekka of sorts. we can hope
