We spar light on some days and normal on others, but the general rule where I train is if it heats up, respond.
Thatās how it usually should be, Iāve been to some gyms where they spar as if its a regular fight and I hate it. Too much room for Injury before the actual fight, and even if you do step in the ring you know in the back of your head something isnt right if you get injured.
I sparred with a kid bamed lawrence who got 2nd in the golden glovesā¦he was amazing, he was so fast. Hed lay on the ropes let me get my work in and then own me easily

In my old gym, for head shots, I would put no strength behind my punches and leave the speed the same meaning you were popped and felt it too but it wasnāt too much but enough.
What about body shots though? I guess it would be in the same vein? Enough to convey the point but not too much?

Body shots, a well placed liver shot will drop anybody regardless of the power put behind it.
Since i do boxing and muay thai and well mma sparring too. Hereās how you go about it.

Now when you get to the heavybag throw your prime rib, your filet minon, your rib eye.
But these guys are here to work with you. They should have head gear and a mouthpiece with their hands wrapped. They drop the hands hit them with jabs and hooks to wake them up. Donāt smash their ears in.
With kicks should be thrown nicely, but never with intent.
But shit if you like going to your 9-5 with a bruised rib, a busted lip, and all that, cool.

I heard Manny Pacquiao is likely to get allot of fan hate because of his recent election video (i donāt know what position he is running for in the Philippines), according to my Filipino friend, allot of people are really against him and his involvement in politics and he just had a recent interview in where he goes all homophobe on gay marriage. My filipino friend says that Pacquiao stated that it makes the human race worse than animals, because animals have the āsenseā of determining a male from a male and female from a female which is why you donāt see homosexual relationships in the animal kingdom. Iām just quoting from what my friend said and he did show me a video of it but itās not in english so i canāt determine if itās completely true.
