Bolt Released for Blu-ray Before DVD

Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the computer animated feature ‘Bolt’ to Blu-ray on March 22nd, two days before the DVD release. This is the first new release Blu-ray title to be released before the DVD, and will surely be a test for future product release schedules.

No technical specs have been announced at this time, though you can expect to see 1.78:1 1080p AVC accompanied by lossless audio.

Extras for this release include:

It’s only by two days, but Bolt is going to be the first BD to be released before its DVD counterpart.

Also…do any of you guys actually make use of the Digital Copy that comes with DVD/BD discs now?

I think it’s a cool idea…ported a few on my notebook.

Went to Circuit City today to see whatever Blu-rays they had left and managed to come out with Rambo, Dark Knight, and Live Free and Die Hard. I MIGHT get Transformers on blu-ray but then again i already have the DVD, so its whatever.

Actually Walmart usually has the better deals with DVD/Blu-ray price wise. I only went to circuit city to see how much of a discount they had them at, which was about 20% when i went up there. I only spent 45 for all three movies.

If you own a Sony S350 Blu-Ray player (like myself), there’s a new firmware released today (version 015), and it’s on the official Sony eSupport website:

If you want to update it through a wireless adapter or an Ethernet cable, I would recommend you guys that you wait 24-36 hours after the new firmware is posted.
