If anyone is curious, here are the specs and a few screencaps of TDK BD

One of the biggest titles of the decade and most deserving of their absolute best treatment, and the lossless track is only 16-bit.
Oh well, I guess when it comes to Warner, we’re lucky to even get a lossless audio track.
Not crazy about the screenshots so far, but I guess I’ll judge when I get it myself. I really liked Batman Begins on BD though.
Where did you purchased your TDK Blu Ray? Is it in the GTA-area?
What does that mean?
circuit city going to have some good blu ray black friday prices…I want Crank and First Blood
Warner ALWAYS fucking skimps on audio.
They’re notorious for not including lossless audio (high-def audio) on some of their Blu-rays.
When they do include it, it’s in 16-bit (lower resolution than 24-bit) so the sound quality isn’t quite as good.
You’d think that TDK, probably the biggest BD release ever would get the best of everything, but you can never count on Warner for quality.
a shop down here is already selling TDK blu-ray version. i heard it’s $40, so i’ll hold back for now and wait for it to be officially released so i can get a cheaper price.
This is what is persuading me to get a blu-ray player on black Friday. Even though i have a ps3, its not in the “movie room”
Hey guys i was wondering if it where possible to hook up a sony bdp-s350 to the speakers that came with this http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BRAVIA-DAV-HDX265-Theater-System/dp/B000O6SI6S
Help would be greatly appreciated guys
Looks like one of those basic HTIBs that don’t do HDMI audio passthrough (is that the right term?). At least you can use optical.
I just finished watching the first disc to Band of Brothers, holy shit, I wasn’t expecting that much noise in certain areas lol.
KFP is awesome. easily one of the best animated movie. my 2nd favorite actually(beuwooooooof > all)
Beowulf and Kung Fu Panda over Pixar? U on crack?!?!
KFP is alright. Pretty entertaining throughout, mildly funny, but no originality whatsoever. Way too predictable from start to finish to make it one of the best animated movies of all time.
Beowulf was complete garbage.
Kung-Fu Panda was awesomeness, my biggest surprise of the year. Dreamworks dropped the dated pop culture references, improved their animation, and made some fantastic action sequences to go along with a decent cast of characters. I’d take that over Ratatitue or Cars anyday.
But its not Wall-E thats for sure. Not even TDK can touch Wall-E’s greatness.
$150 Panasonic BD35 at Sears! Its out online, but you can price match! (Sep, you can welcome me to the dark side of BD now )
you cant be SERIOUS-AH! I didnt watch this wall-e yet…guess I will later tonight. I doubt its better than TDK though.
I am kinda disappointed with terminator 2 blu ray. NO extra footage of any kind. picture quality isnt that great either…supposed to be lil “grainy” or what? I like the DTS 7.1 sound though. its about same as the original theatrical version.(much better than regular-ass dvd with 2 channel)
That’s why you’re supposed to import the German Ultimate T2 HDDVD
HDDVD lol amirite?
