Oh man I think EX Scissor Kick might be way too good. The set ups for it are gonna be ridiculous.
The most obvious one in my mind right now is EX scissor kick, and if blocked switch cancel to a character with an overhead and it’s basically an unblockable. (If you use a character who can combo off the overhead see: Heihachi and Kazuya then there will be trouble.) Unless they do something stupid and have the slide not hit low. Still though, it looks safe because I’m pretty sure I saw Bison go through the character just like in SF4.
Psycho Crusher looks kind of better too from what I’m seeing. Really loving Bison atm, especially the faster teleport. Still didn’t see Devil Reverse.
Oh god
I just realized how awesome Bison will be without Seth
Give me some good air buttons to go and top tier here we come
Yeah I’m already thinking of shit like ex scissor switch in Lili mix up with her twirl hop. Lili also has a long ass ex move. Switch in Bison while Lili is doing her thing for a free mix up.
I wonder if a Bison teleport while cause a cross up during a cross rush.
I’m ready to play this.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but what kind of mix-up could you do to an opponent in crouching block stun? The only thing I could think of is if you could space your jump so that you do a really ambiguous cross-up.
Where is everyone getting this information about Bison and his EX Knee press?
If there is a vid post dat fam.
Sorry guys, apparently after a switch cancel an overhead can be blocked low. =(
I still think the EX Scissor has a lot of potential though. I have a feeling there will be a lot of technology around it.
Stream. Dunno if there’s an archive though.
I think they meant you can block overheads low IF the move you SC’d hits low and vice versa. If the switch cancelled move just hits normally, I’m sure you can mix up during it. I don’t see why not.
There’s an archive.

It’s pretty long and doesn’t have that much Bison gameplay. If I remember correctly Bison was shown early in part 1 but whether or not EX SK is shown I don’t know. You’ll notice the new and improved teleport and Psycho Crusher though.
No bursted bubble I’ll find some shit to do. Teleport behind to switch their guard or as you mentioned set-up some nice cross up attempts.
Is absolute guard in this?
If the move you tag cancel from leaves holes in the block strings you can go for a high low. Mix up. Other than that you have to go for mix up after thee last hit
Things I noticed.
Teleport isn’t back to its glory days.
Ex Knee Press has some spice added to it.
Tracking on Head Stomps is still azz.
I’m hoping that since Psycho banish isn’t a special move, it’ll be turned into a command normal (Like DF HP)
Hello everyone. Used to post quite a bit in the Bison forums since vanilla but took a bit of a break/i.e. got bored and am now reinvigorated by this new bison tech. Not too crazy about the game overall, but happy to see dictator get some new tools to play with. So for those who are still curious I noticed that Bison does indeed get some new juggle properties to his moves.
-Scissor Kick: Improved vertical hitbox it seems. Likely to be a stronger poke from certain ranges as opposed to being stuffable with jabs and other properly timed pokes. Startup seems the same as SF4 series but the nerfed pushback on block seems absent now and it behaves more like vanilla scissors, leaving you near point blank for at least two crouching shorts to follow up. Knockdown distance is same.
-Slide: Unsure about this one, my observations might be imaginary. Seems like the hitbox is improved, i.e. the hitbox becomes active quicker as opposed to SF4 series where the hitbox itself was not active till far later. Hitbox also seems larger. In SF4 series it was only on the tip of his toes. Slide also seems faster in startup and shorter in distance. Does not cause hard knockdown.
-Devil’s Reverse: Hitbox seems improved and leaves opponent in juggle state so that you can follow up with an attack. There is enough hit stun to hit the opponent with a crouching strong. In SF4 and on, the move was around 7-8 frames. It might be possible to combo into something more damaging but the player seemed to be more on the average-intermediate level of player. Most likely no crossup variant.
-EX Devil’s Reverse: Hitbox seems improved and hits twice. Good for those who might reflexively block low (assuming its even or + on block) after any overhead. It’s likely the juggle state is similar to normal DR but probably gives maybe a little bit more float and hitstun.
-EX Scissors: Essentially its knee press knightmare. Unsafe on block and does not seem to pass through opponent on block like SF4 version. Will likely have a variety of uses: does a good 150-80 (gems were activated so can’t tell the base damage), can likely be comboed into from medium attacks but cannot be comboed (cancelled yes) from crouching short.
-Psycho crusher: Seems to have faster startup, safer on block. New animation too. Crossup abilities are likely since Fierce retains the two hits from Super and scissor kick knockdown distance appears to be the same.
-Ex Psycho crusher: Same as vanilla it seems. Faster than the normal version, travels around or slightly further than fierce crusher, i.e. like vanilla. Can still be stuffed/traded with but seems to be more like the improved version from Super and on.
I could have sworn I saw it pass through the opponent. o_O My eyes were either playing with me or the stream lagged and I didn’t notice.
Nothing on Head Stomp? Or more importantly, Somersault Skull Driver?
Never saw skull diver connect, but it will have follow up possibilities like SF4 series I’m sure. Whether it juggles like DR or not is left to be seen.
I could have sworn seeing it NOT pass through but one of us is right so who knows, we will see once more info and current builds get passed around.
Is the stream archive still the only footage we have of lord Bison?
Desperate to see more.
Saw something interesting:
You can cancel Bisons slide, at the very least, in to the launcher. And pretty late at that. Saw that on armshouse stream archive (the last 10hrs one) somewhere at the very end past 10hrs mark. Slide was blocked and the opponent probably decided to punish and ate the launcher.
You might be able to cancel it into EX scissor kick, then dash out of it. At least if chained. It will also give you a free counterhit on your next move.
The Bison thread’s opening post has been updated now that we know what Bison’s special/super moveset is.
