also i was considering maybe making a meta gamertag on XBL for people who are playing on XBL to add to their friends list so they can easily see when other people are online. kind of like the Skullgirls SRK one.
probs call it aBOBa or .BOB. so it appears at the top of the list. i personally get sick of having to scroll right to the bottom of my friends list to get to Skullgirls SRK one all the time.
i could share the email address/password for it with someone else though since i wont be able to accept friend requests for a short while after the first week.
perhaps this would work on PSN as well but im not familiar if you can look at friends of friends like you can on XB.

For PSN, it’s easy breezy because new accounts are free.
I believe DiscoShark already set up a meta tag for SG on Xbox, which I believe you can find in the XBL matchmaking thread.

yea i know he did set one up already.
problem is that its full of people who dont even play anymore. the list has almost 100 people on it and its very rare to see any of them on skullgirls/
second problem is that with it beginning with an S it puts it right down near the bottom of most peoples lists (i have to scroll down past about 90 odd gamertags to get to it, and while using a stick you are unable to skip through a page at a time like you can with a pad.
its pretty much a case of out of sight out of mind really, so i reckoned if we had a new one (with a name that placed it near to the top) and with only people who were entering the tourney it would be much easier for people to arrange games.
you dont have to pay for new accounts on XBL either. thats only if you want a gold one.
i may just make one anyway to be honest.
Well, I think one made specifically for tourney won’t hurt anyways.
i might get on that later tonight then.

so ive made a gamertag for XBL that will help people co ordinate a lot with arranging games.
simply add the gamertag to your friends list, then view the profile and select the view friends option and PRESTO! you can see everyone who is participating and whether they are online or not so you can shoot them a message to play your sets!

(the a is so it appears near the top of your list)
also spaced if you could put this info in the first post so people can see it. i will also shoot a load of friend requests to people who are taking part, but people should do it themselves as well in case i dont get time or forget someone or something.

lol i already started ha ha. got 3 of my matches done today.
also i have another suggestion for scoring.
win = 2 points
loss= 1 point
draw = 0 points
that way you cant just “draw” all of your matches and get the same points as someone who has actually played theirs and lost.

If by draw you mean that there weren’t any games played then it’ll make sense to give more then 2 points for win so people who just lose everything won’t end end up with big amount of points… Or you can actually leave it at that to motivate everybody to get as many matches as possible =]
by draw i guess i meant say the lag makes the game unplayable (ive had one of those already so we called it a draw in the end)
the actual amount of points given is up for debate really i just figured it would eliminate the loophole of people figuring they could just not play any matches and not be penalised.
encouraging people to play more matches is always a good thing too.
