Battle Arena Tonshinden 2 - Eiji’s stage. Fighting on an arena so high up in the mountains that the clouds are passing by. The music was badass for that stage too with a great saxaphone solo.

Otherwise pretty much any stage with snow in any 3d fighter and I’m fucking there. I’m a sucker for those “desolate” stages.
I was already beat to the Boss team’s stage in KOF '96…KOF used to have some of the best stages.

Besides the beautiful artistic aesthetics, the stage actually plays a roll in gameplay…this way back in 1991! Vega can climb the cage…he becomes part of the background, essentially unhittable until he flies off to come down with a claw dive or Izuna drop. Home field advantage actually means something for him!

Ive never had a chance to play Upper yet, what is the best system to play it on? Can it be played on Mame or otherwise?
I really like any “arena” based stages where you get to fight in front of a large audience.
So stages like Osaka Arena (CvS2), the Arena from Tekken 4…those are usually my favorite locales.

I would say Dreamcast or PSP and no it won’t run on mame unless you have a beffy computer as Upper was on Naomi hardware.
If you want to play it so badly.
