Cable should not be in slot 3 most of the time, he should almost always be in slot 2, or in some cases 1. Cable if he lacks gauge or lacks an assist is infinitely less strong than he is otherwise.
What team are you going for exactly?

I’m mainly just doing Magneto, Storm and Cable right now.
But, yeah, I’m just mainly worried about trying to safely get him in when I need to; I have Magneto out first, but when I start running low on health, I like to tag in using supers, but it’s pretty apparent that that’s not a viable thing to do with Cable in the second slot (unless I can kill my opponent first)…
EDIT:
ACTUALLY, about managing positions, is there an effective way of shifting characters around so they’re where you need them to be (I mean in terms of their tag order)?
I haven’t played games in so long; I think the day has come to retire from playing SSF4 competitively. Random note I got 3rd in the US Open Brazilian Jujitsu Tournament last weekend.
Congrats man! Looks like you’ve been practicing some Street Fighter in real life.
Hey Dom, did you see the video of Marn’s Dudley beating Daigo’s Ryu at Season’s Beatings?
Nice, what school do you train at?
Ralph Gracie Hayward; do you train jujitsu?
I trained at FTCC a LONG while back. Haven’t had time to train because of school though.
Good stuff; Team EU brings the fights to the real world too!
Am still puzzled why Daigo threw that last Hadouken…
I honestly don’t get it.

That said, sorry for late replies and general non-updates…
I should be hitting up dat MVC2 more, but Vanquish is so god-like…
It’s like what the single-player of Gears of War would be like if it didn’t suck.
ALSO, here is me surprisingly not choking at the SUPER finals over at UCB:

Here is the rest of the matches from the day, but it’s hard to make anything out, unfortunately:

That said, in general, it was a fun event; we should totally hold a tournament to name our group soon…
But we need everyone present (and videos).
I might start bringing my camera to the meet every week to record money matches… just need to figure out where I put it…
I’m planning on coming tonight and doing some MM’s.
Niiice first three sets from what I watched in the youtube video, but I would like to point out doesn’t Dudley have a dashing uppercut? Chun got used to your dashing straights and jumped a lot I’m not sure of the properties but couldn’t you have hit her neutral jumps with that? Also niiiice bait at the end looks you remembered what I said about fishing with the overheads last time we spoke.
I’m gonna try to stop by today if I’m not too tired after work. Do I need an ID card to get in the hall?
So I think I’ve decided to take a Street Fighter vacation. I’m not sure what it is, but I’m just in a slump right now. I feel like I’ve become really predictable with my Vega and not adapting well in match ups. My moral has also been getting furthered crushed as I’ve been losing to my friend’s Ryu (he mains Balrog) lately, and he’s not even using him to his full extent (can’t FADC consistently, etc.). I think it’s really all just in my head.
Anyway, I’m probably going to take a week or two off and use this time to go through some of my old back catalog that I haven’t played. Or maybe level up in Halo since I stopped playing for a while.
In a side note: my Fei Long is slowly getting better. My biggest problems is that I drop the Rekkas and I miss the c. LP link after a chicken wing. But he’s a nice change from my wall diving escapades.
No, you don’t need an ID to get into Dwinelle. Watch out though, the building can be a labyrinth if you don’t know where you’re going.
@DKL: Sorry for the slow response. In general if you have both Magneto and Storm on a team Magneto always goes first and Storm always goes second since Magneto opens matches the best thanks to 1 frame crouch short and the like, while DHC hail storm is one of the best ways to do damage and keep momentum. I haven’t really seen people using Mag Storm Cable as a team before, it’s the only assortment of gods that to my knowledge doesn’t quite have the synergy together.
OH Shat! Thanks for the tip.
i wont be able to make it out this saturday… going to keystone or whatever that is out in SJ on saturday. wish me luck!
We’re not sure if the place will have SUPER, however… it’s primarily BBCS and I don’t know if anyone has SUPER for the PS3 outside of Thomas and Wrathos, but it’s not certain…
I haven’t actually talked to either person yet…
Give it a week and we’ll see what happens (I might need to bring my X-Box to the thing, but I don’t know yet).
Oh man, say hi to Jorge while you’re there.
I’m actually not sure what would happen if I did hit her, which is primarily why I didn’t throw it out… I have no idea what it looks like when it connects like that… not only that, but I was suspicious of its range: if the move whiffs, I think it might be pretty bad.
What if I bring my own xbox, game, stick, and pad tonight?
Oh then, it’s totally going to happen then; I’ll bring a stick too.
Good stuff.
I just PM’d you my cell number. Text me back so I have someone to call if I get lost tonight lol.
