I can’t help you with what files you need, I know that. That’s on you. It’s not hard to find out what you need and where they are. What I can tell you is that there are a number of games that you need to find clones or parent files otherwise they won’t run. On top of that, I can tell you there are multiple sets for the U.S. version of A3.

I can tell by what you said that you don’t have all the ROM’s and the one you do have isn’t even for the right game. Do a little research. I’ll leave it at that.

Gah, I’m at a loss here, I haven’t had a constantly smooth game in 3s at all since I started using mame two weeks ago; it’ll run fine offline for a few matches then it slows down on-and-off. Maybe I’m missing something important or my laptop isn’t powerful enough - here’s what I’m running:
Pentium 4, 2.80 GHz, 1.18 Gb RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon 9000/9100 <— I’m thinking this is the problem right here, this isn’t that great and I can’t upgrade it cause it’s permanently stuck in the laptop.
Direct-Draw, run in window, 320x240 resolution
It’s looking pretty grim, but I’m open to any suggestions.
Try using Direct3D instead of DirectDraw and see what happen.
Actually, I was using that before, but the results are the same. It’s not constantly slow - it’ll run smooth for a little bit and then all of sudden it becomes ridiculously slow and then it runs smooth for a short period again. It’s actually pretty annoying. Any ideas on what could be causing it?
Hmmm, if you’re using MAME 0.111 and older versions, you need to download XORs and put them inside your ZIP file.
XORs aren’t illegal.
Don’t forget that the parent set is called “sfa3.zip”.
I had that problem once. I had to reinstall to another folder to fix it.

Just a new folder with none of the old support files in it.
The EXE, the folders pack, language pack and kaillera DLL all in a new directory.
Is there anyway I can add scanline effects from the artwork folder into MAME32k 0.64 manually? I’m using Vista so it won’t allow me to access the default games options section.
If anyone has a 0.64 config file, could they please upload it? I’m using the one from 0.119 but would rather have a 0.64 one.

I just got the MAME32++ 0.117 thing for 3S…and my stick won’t work. I’m using the DOA4 arcade stick. It works fine on whatever other version of Mame preceded this one (the one that didn’t have CPS3). Any help, plz?
Started using MAME lately for 3S and ST and I notice when I play online the games get really choppy and slow. Is this normal when playing on Kaillera? The games run perfectly offline.
A little lag is normal when using the servers. Your best bet is to use p2p, especially for competitive 3s play. Download the kaillera p2p client. See the p2p thread as well. http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=135447&page=17
i got mame119 and a doa4 stick, when I start 3s it tells me unable to set absolute mode 0 for doa4 arcade stick, and it wont work with it. I have those xbcd drivers installed and it works with ggpo, does anyone have any suggestions
