I just got back from Ireland (Vacation)… Went ot the Guinness brewry and had a few cold ones… And drank Guinness all across the country. DELICIOUS!
Had 8 pints in a single night… and woke up the next morning 100%… Im not sure what the difference is between beer overseas and in the states (sulfides or some shit?) but I NEVER get hung over when I drink overseas, no matter how bad I get… Here? 3 or 4 beers starts to give me a headache a few hours after drinking them… bah!
Floris Apple
Unibroue Ephemere Apple
Kasteel Rouge
to name my top 3.
and yeah i’ve had leffe brune and blonde, we have it on tap and are allowed to drink it for free for shift drinks at my bar, but i don’t really like it.
I’ve had a few fruity beers, mostly around New York. I think it was Sea Dog’s or something and they had some blueberry and raspberry tasting beer. I also had Summer Shandy and that was pretty far from dope.
Fruity beers have kind of a split personality disorder going on… im not sure if I’m supposed to be enjoying the fruit or the beer because they really don’t go well together imo
as I’ve grown older I’ve developed a beer heartburn (i just cant down southpaw, bud lite, pbr, etc like i use to) that hits me from cheaper beer… except Yuengling black and tans, those dont hurt my lil baby digestive system.
my tops are now:
Smithwicks
3 Philosophers (really anything out of the Ommegang Brewery is dope)
Hoegaarden (the ladies like this one a lot too)
Sunset Wheat from Leinenkugels
and really pretty much any stout.
Fat Tire
Newcastle
Rolling Rock
Hieneken
Tetonka Stout
Bud Light sometimes if everyone is really down to drink, because you have to down 5-6 to get a buzz. Also, it’s very popular and I will be social. Otherwise, No bud, coors, natty, corona, weak S.
Newcastle
Hennepin
Blue Moon (on occasion)
Monty Python Holy Grail
Mackeson’s
Duvel
Beck’s Dark
Midas Touch
Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Michelob Amberbock (old favorite)
That’s just a handful I could think of at the moment. Yeah…we get fucked up around these parts.
