The Beer Thread

I’ve been drinking alot of killians and red tail. My favorite of all time is fat tire, but I have been loving red ales lately.

Recently I’ve been making different types of homebrew to satisfy my obsession of becoming a brewmaster. I’m going through this thread to see what everyone likes. I want to make a beer that will signfy our love for fighting games and comraderie. I dream to bottle SRK brew.

I drink Bud Light Lime, Red Stripe and PBR

I drink Guinness, Murphy’s Irish Stout, and Arrogant Bastard

Other than for Pong and Flip Cup, I can’t really drink cheap beer, esp. Bud Light anymore.

At the age of twenty two I think I’ve treid every beer in every grocery store/liquor store within five miles of me with the exception of a few single bottles. My taste buds keep expanding but you’re more than welcome to ask me questions about beers you might like based off of previous experiences. I’ve bartendeded (3bir4h is a bartender still, I think) so there’s info to go around.

I got this new collaboration beer between stone and brewdog called “bashah”. It’s labeled as a dark belgium style double imperial ipa. WTF! crazy blend but I can’t wait to try it tomorrow when I’ve sobered up lol

Trappist Westvleteren 12 was probably the best i’ve ever had. Those monks sure know how to make em! Guinness Extra Stout is my daily now though.

What is a good 1 on 1 drinking game?

quarters is always pro as fuck for a 1 on 1 venture(and hell beer pong can be adapted to be a one person game too lol)

im drinkin keystone ice right now and at 2 bucks for 4 16 oz cans i cant complain

Yuengling tastes like shit. According to my Irish dad, it just used to be the cheap piss beer but they repositioned themselves as a premium brand so they could sell piss to drones.

This is true somewhat. When people now a days think of yuengling they think of their “Traditional Lager” They didn’t come out with that until sometime in the 80’s or 90’s. Yuengling is America’s oldest brewery. They still make the stuff that used to be known as Yuengling called “Premium” and it tastes like shit. Chesterfield tastes like shit also. Lager tastes alright, but that’s it, just alright. If you are looking for a good American lager go for either Stoudts Gold, or Victory Lager. Then again, I live in Pennsylvania and these are two local breweries, so I have no idea on the availability of them across the country.

As for other beers, I looked through this whole thread and no one mentioned Samuel Smith brand. I have tried their Oatmeal Stout, Nut Brown, Pale Ale, and Winter Welcome, and they are all fantastic! Winter Welcome is especially good, but I think it only comes out around the holidays.

Speaking of holidays, this is the best time of year in my opinion for beers second only to Autumn. Anchor Merry Christmas is exceptional. Sly Fox Christmas Ale is also very good.

Blue moon is dank ( full of flavor) beer. top tier. sometimes expesive at bars or even for a sixer 9.49 at liquor stoes.
but the overall king of beers is …miller lite, super good beer imo.

on a side not this new black background on srk killed my av…

Anyone know any porter beers I can find in a normal liquor store?

Bout to buy a 6 pack of yueng ling and a 6 pack of guiness and make myself some black and tans. Had a black and tan at a local Tiffany’s restaurant and loved it.

Yuengling actually makes a porter and a black and tan. They are most likely ass though.

Anyone try Double Dragon beer? Had it the other day, wasn’t too bad, its Welsh.

Smirnoff ice, corona.

Keystone’s not that bad.

To put in perspective, I used to drink 211 Steel Reserve and OE with my friends after High School.

When I got to College and my friends were complaining about the taste of Kestone Ice and Light, I was like “This is bad beer to y’all?”

Anyway, anyone here ever drink Pumpkin Beer? Heard from some friends certain brews are pretty good. Taste like pie.

I used to hate beer. I don’t know why.

I really like Fat Tire on tap. It’s whatever out of the bottle.

All of the cheap stuff tastes the same to me. I think I’ve had cheap beer so much it’s all like water to me. I can afford better beer, but I usually have beer for the friends and they don’t care once they are together in a group. I think Beast and Nice tastes just as good as Budweiser. It’s still “cool” to have PBR stocked, but there are better choices for the same price.

I’m a fan of Malt Liquors as well. Mickey’s is the herald the best and is, but I like O.E. and Colt 45.

BBC has AMAZING beer if you’re in Kemtucky/Ohio/Tennessee/Indiana area. It’s a shame it’s only available there (I also believe it is available in Connecticut and Virginia).

Anyone try the Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA? It’s up there with Hop Devil for me in terms of amazing IPAs.

I like Blue Moon and The new Bud Light Golden Wheat.
