Have yall seen many Bang players online? I have yet to run into one.
LMAO, I actually find that funny.
Anyway, hello guys, I’m gonna get my copy of blazblue pretty soon. I’m gonna main Carl, Bang, and Hakumen. I look forward to playing some of you online.
Anyway this is the Bang Tutorial that comes with the Limited edition, for those who haven’t seen it.

Forgive the Bang noob, but is there any difference with his Fuurinkazan super when he changes what he says? Sometimes he goes into that long diatribe, and sometimes he just says the name of the super. Is it character specific/random/can you choose it? Does it affect any properties of the super?
I was watching some Kaqn/Dora matches () and both Bang and Ragna said different things during their activate supers than normal (but sometimes said the default thing). I figure it’s no big deal, but just making sure I’m not missing something here.
I played Bang and my opponent said “Oh wow, you are the first Bang I’ve seen online!”. Seems we’re a rare breed.
On a side note, is there anything useful that comes out of his 6B? My friend plays Tager and Ragna and while I don’t have problems with Ragna, I can’t seem to approach Tager except with his 6B or 5C (overheads). Any tips?
I know the match up between Bang and Tager is either even or in favour towards Bang but it’s so disheartening to see your HP disappear from one throw or combo.
I decided to pick up Bang recently, even though I’ve been using Tager exclusively online. But anyways, I only played offline matches with Bang right now to brush up but I find it hilarious that I almost lose or get beaten in when I use bang install (I only do it when I have a huge lead but end up getting stomped ).
edit: Oh it’s one of the related videos to 10 Stars’ vid. Nice Offensive burst set-up I’m gonna try to practice that.

Some offensive burst setups for bang.
If they roll instead of neutral tech will the nail super still connect?
And here are 3 Bang videos explaining the basics then combos. Most of the combos used are from the dustloop forum but it helps me out just to seem them visually.

The rest of the videos are in the description.
Hold 8 then input the 623B command eh?
Just tried it, MUCH easier than what I was doing before.
So I’ve decided to learn Bang seeing how his play style interested me.
So far I only know this combo-
St. A, St. B, Cr. B, Cr. C–>Super or Fwd+D
What’s the use of his QCB move? I’ve heard about the TKing of his Supaa Cr-ush, but have yet to get it right, but what are other stuff that I should be doing? Eg, Pokes, combos, proper usage of Nails, etc.
The first post’s blocks of text kinda umm left me wondering more (no offense to OP BTW, gotta give him credit for the dedication to preaching the Ways of Love & Courage!"
i know the first post looks like a block of text, but you should take the time out to read it. it’s really informative, and it provides a lot of useful links.
if you have trouble landing bang’s DP motion move (supa crush!) after the :r::snkd:, try holding :uf:. once you see bang hit with the :r::snkd:, finish the DP motion with :d::df::snkb:. so, what you’re doing here is :uf::d::df::snkb:.
i had a lot of trouble with the combo too in the beginning, and now i can land it all the time. of course, that doesn’t change the fact that i still suck with bang.
Yeah, I’ve actually got quite a few compliments from people both on PSN and XBL after playing Bang. Though I did manage to run into 3 other Bangs in a row last night. One even did the Bangarang with me:rock:
I just saw the vid and thought WOW. I went into training mode and tested the corner set-up vs a neutral teching opponent and it surely works. However:
(mid-screen)
*forward or backwards teching kills this set-up
[2C > C Bumper > Steel Rain > jump up, hold right to pass over with the bumper and sandwich them > land, burst > 5c > Daifunka]
(in the corner)
*if they neutral or back tech roll, then the set-up is valid
**if they forward tech too late, then the set-up is valid
interesting: if they eat some of the nails, say during a bad tech (thus making it a tech trap in a sense in the corner), then the offensive burst isn’t necessary
Neat find. I might try to exploit this a little, but it is definitely no guaranteed set-up given teching. This pretty much convinces your opponent to tech roll backwards or forwards. If you exploit 2A to catch those tech rolls, then you have your full tech mix-up. Then, once you train them to neutral tech, your set-up is ready for use.
The trick would be finding a situation where the nails are 100% unavoidable…
Switching my main from Tao to Bang. He’s just so much fun!
I GOTTA learn the combo where Bang triple CRITICAL SUPER CRASH’d Ragna lol. It looked almost as annoying as getting caught in one of Tao’s unnecessarily lengthy air combos…
I don’t understand this game sometimes…in some combos that I see Bang do, he can hit and combo them after his Fire punch hits but whenever I do it against my brother, he ALWAYS techs and recovers out after the fire punch.
does he use Carl?
Bangs combos don’t always work on the smaller characters… the youtube vids above show some character specific combos that are really helpful
I started using Bang online. Need a lot of work though. I went from 73% to 50% in 3 hours .
The arakune match up is pretty hard. He kept beating me in the air but on the ground I still feel he is a threat. Though I’m glad I have D knives. They help uncurse but once I’m out, I have no more get out of jail free cards (except burst).
Then Rachel . I hate her. I finally fought 4 good rachels who combo the shit out of me. She does a shit load of damage. I only beat them like 3 times out of the 10 times I played a rachel. Her pressure is pretty insane. Made me wish Bang had a nice reversal.
Then I kept fighting the same lvl 40 jin who was pretty awesome like 5 times in a row. It’s kind of mind boggling when I face a jin that does crazy freeze resets and all after fighting some lesser Jins. I learned that Bang shouldn’t rush jin because he can freeze you and his freakin dp had invincibility frames.
Also Hod do you guys stop Tao pressure. Whenever I face a good one I can never get a good momentum or feel of the match.
I wish Bang had more nails.
/rant
I pulled this off in tourney today. It’s not hard.
It’s CH j.D 6A 623B dash 2B 623B dash 6C j.623B 2C -> oki
If you have 50% (100% bar option will be in parenthesis)
CH j.D 6a 623b (FRKZ) 2363214C does ridiculous damage.
Has anyone else played ShamedHer0, yet? Best Bang I’ve run into on XBL, so far. He rocked my world pretty damn good, too. =(
