Just wanted to send a thank you to all from the gump scene folks who came by for our soft re-opening this past weekend, was good times playing everything from SC5 to SkullGirls and plenty of beer, coke, mixed drinks, and hotdogs were consumed, see you all throughout the week and the weekend. Thanks again for the support!
Anyone in the Gump still play Marvel on weekends? I’d like to start coming up to the shop again regularly.
i’m like 90% sure we are but i cant promise. i dont think im ready for skullgirls tournament but its probably the only thing im entering. mvc3 was dead in auburn before sg even dropped. if raph comes tho his bella/parasoul is gonna slice some dicks. he beats me damn near every time. i played the guy that got 2nd at powerup online, and he beat me like 10-4. im probably switching away from painwheel i dont like her normals and i think she loses to peacock/double teams and thats an annoying matchup

I want to play you guys too. You should enter the tournament. It would be a good learning experience and you would be surprised how much better you play when there is something on the line.

Sponsorship is finalized for the DSC tournament on 07/28/12. Flyers are posted at Gamestop, Aaron’s, Planet Comics, and Draisen Edwards!
Also, we will have no worries on the number of setups! Aaron’s has agreed that they will match the need of monitors for contestants even if we have to get them from another Aaron’s location! Consoles, games, and wired controllers will be covered by Game Stop with ease! Draisen Edward’s Music Center has agreed to come and set up 2 stand alone loud speakers connected wall to wall, along with microphone and microphone stand.
On a side not, lol I tested the speakers out and you can hook up and iPod or mp3 player and play music as well… haha We can jam out. 
So please if you plan on going sign up at shoryuken or in the DSC event posted on facebook (add me) and specify 07/28/12 so I can know how many setups are needed!

Expedia and Allegiant Air. I’m going to be in Kansas for the 4th of July and Allegiant Air happens to have cheap direct flights from Wichita to Vegas.
A roundtrip from Montgomery to Vegas is a little over $550 on Expedia and Priceline right now and it’ll probably go up as the date approaches. I booked my hotel room at the Imperial Palace (right across the street from Caesar’s) for $295.70 and am hoping to find enough people to split that 3 or 4 ways.
