Lost to Lil Majin 2-1, I got lamed out ;_; but good shit to TN for having 3 good players in top 16.
Shoutouts to Raekwon for the little Clark exp I had, I dont think I would have gotten far without it.
A lot of good players tried getting me with weird characters like Leona, but they didn’t know I play the shitty online in KOF. Therefore, Liu Swagger came to see them and couldn’t get me with “DAT WEAK AYUS BULLSHEYIT”

Wandles BLEW UP FUCKING CLOCKWORK, good shit. Then Derrell almost got at Combofiend and Phoenyx was called “The best rocket I have ever seen” by clock… until Grand Finals in Marvel though. That title got hella jacked at the last minute lol.

Lockhart vs Alcohol is a 9-1 Match up. It had that early set up at 2 PM and just continued to consistently body me with that awesome oki. At the end, it got fancy and had that Stickbug assist, which ended the game.

I was SO Done. So very done. Even still, I had SO much fun. Hanging with yourself, Stickbug, Leonil, Amadeous ( even if it were very short ) and Blue Link made that night memorable for me. Also, I am not upset at my top 16 finish.

mmm, you need to learn to counter pick man. It’s almost like if they go AD sion, you can just go tristana. He can’t really approach, and does nothing for the rest of the game. Instead of banning rammus, just lvl1 gank his blue, so his jungle does nothing. Choose semi strong lvl1 fighters, like tristana, shyvanna, garen, and whoever else. Rammus doesn’t do much at lvl1, especially when he’s fighting for his blue with the 0 dmg he does. If your opponents picked yorick, go for a double AP carry. This way the yorick can’t really revive much, as long as you win the fights with your ranged ad.

A word of caution: the results posted on finalround.org for Blazblue are MAD fucked. There are a ton of errors on them, e.g. Jan placing 4th, Pat placing higher than me when I knocked him out, people who got DQ’d for not showing at all somehow being ranked higher than last, etc. Be wary that tourney results for other games might be similarly inaccurate.

So, all things considered, I did pretty damn well in Marvel at Final Round despite not really practicing the game since December. It’s kind of got me motivated to start putting more time back into it since I plan on going to Evo this year. I’m curious if there’s anyone who’d be willing to grind out some sessions on a monthly-ish basis, like maybe the day after we have our locals in Bham, Huntsville, or wherever else, or if there’s some people in Montgomery, Auburn, or Dothan that’d be up for it whenever. If you’re willing to host me, I’d totally be up for staying over for a day and just grinding shit out. (I’d also be willing to offer the reverse, but there’s not really a reason to come down to the dump that is Troy.) I just feel like I won’t be able to improve much without in-person practice since the things that fucked me up the most at FR were bad habits that I can’t really shake without it being beaten out of me.

Also, the Gump crew should post whenever they plan on heading up to GTSouth. I haven’t been up there in a while and want to fix that.

Tbh i think i might just drop all other games for it when it comes out. I don’t even care about scene, even if im the only person playing it in AL, which im pretty sure won’t happen, it looks like a game that i seriously can stick with. I am loving everything they are doing with it.

At any rate, I think I turned out ok in Soul Calibur than I thought even though I didn’t make it out of my pools. Shit was a frickin Natsu fest for me. Anyway, here are my shoutouts:
