strider overrated as fuck imo and i’m probably going to drop him.
Anywho, for reference, my #1 team is Vergil, Akuma, Wesker. With that said, the order depends on the matchup, but thats the default.
And I wouldn’t call Strider overrated, but if mixups and resets aren’t what you intend to live off of he just ain’t gonna work unless you’re willing to dedicate X-factor to him. If not that, then you at least need to have plenty of meter handy. He’s essentially Phoenix with less damage and better… …

Well, he’s Phoenix with less damage at least lol. I do think I’m going to start running him second on my team though because if he’s anchor and doesn’t kill while XF and Ourobo are active, you’re going to have problems if somebody has the likes of Doom, Ryu, Wesker, etc on Anchor because he’ll basically have to get in 3 times to kill them if he doesn’t have enough meter left to Ragnarok. That’s a little too gimmicky for my typical playstyle (and don’t bother bringing up Phoenix, I just like the character; I havn’t dropped her even though I think she borderline sucks now).
I feel like w/ Strider @ 2nd point I can have Zero (Zero Task Strider is my current secondary) build meter for Strider and then use Ourobo to at least handle one character. With Taskmaster still in the back once Ourobo wears off I’ll still have an assist to help with mixups and adding on a little more damage, as well as an anchor who “doesn’t need help.”
Also… I put in some serious time with Vergil today, and I DEFINITELY figured him out.
I’m sticking with my MvC3 team of Viper Felicia Dorm, unless someone convinces me I have another character better than one already on my team.
Also, Sixfortyfive, I would like a long set with you at the next monthly. I really want to work on felicia more and you seem to be the only other one using her in the area. Your wall jump tactic to air grab also rapes me free.

It’s too late now but there was a tourney at Game Galaxy in Nashville. A few of us Huntsville folks went up and made sure to let them know about RCR on the 10th. From the sounds of it we should have some solid TN folks this time around.
@UMvC3, my new team is Wesker/Deadpool/Strider. I’m liking this team alot because Pool has good offense (most of his combos end with at least 500K), plays zoning well, has a teleport. Not to mention mixing up with Vajra assist can lead to hard knockdown>katanarama wall bounce>quick work>super. Shits pretty gdlike
Also, when is that Huntsville tourney in December? I’m making that shit but gotta know which day it is so I can put in for it.
