Good luck to everyone going to SB. I want to say “I wish I could go, but can’t because of money/work/whatever,” but ever since Blazblue dropped off and I can’t find anything else worth playing, I doubt I’d want to go even if I could :\ I was overall really disappointed with CS2, and now that vids of CSEX are starting to surface, it looks like more of the same. ArcSys has been nerfing everything remotely good since CT to the point where everything feels so… homogenized. The game is definitely more balanced that previous iterations, but IMO ArcSys handled it wrong: Instead of every character having something really good like in GG, every character is mediocre at everything. I used to get so hype over BB matches, but now I just don’t see it anymore. Here’s hoping that GG comes back sooner than later or at least that Skullgirls or something else coming out in the next few months is good, or I might as well quit FGs.
SO glad that Sega is bringing this back. I can’t wait to beat the multiple-hours long endurance race to unlock some horses, lol. The revival of Daytona USA (along with stuff like Guardian Heroes appearing on XBLA) also gives me hope that they’ll return to more of their 32-bit era classics. It’s a shame: Sega had amazing titles for every system they made, but the series that weren’t primarily on Genesis have been mostly neglected or even downright forgotten.
Well we got ae 2012 hopefully hitting in december that should roll us Fgamers into good terms for 2012. Also maybe you should pick up umvc3 and play it for fun. If not, just play some throwback fighters like Last Blade or even better Third Strike.

Daytona was an obsession of mine for the longest time.
Even after I’d run out of quarters I’d hang around and stare at the demo, spread across 8 deluxe cabs that took up an entire wall of an arcade, for a number of minutes before getting on with the rest of my day. It’s just hard to convey how much of a presence that game carried in 1994. Blew my 10-year-old mind.
