DOA for scrubs? Chill out, I’m a DOA player. Do I look scrubby? Dead or Alive is a wonderful fighting game. Just because you dont know how to play it, does not make it scrubby.

If it’s not a step more towards DOAU…I won’t be spending my money on it. DOAU>DOA4
DOA5 might be good, but I doubt Team Ninja’s ability to put out good games with Itagaki gone. I could be wrong, but I’ll wait until first plays come through before thinking about spending my time/energy/money/schooltime/femaletime on it.
To be absolutely honest, not calling you a scrub or nothing but… DoA can be hella scrubby lol. Mash punch 7 times then hit kick twice and you got scrub status. DoA3 did better with countering scrubs but then it just turned into WWE Divas and Ninjas because counters were so good 9/10 you would go for grab. DoA4 fixed that and it got a tid bit scrubby-ish but it was a good fighting game. DoA combos make MvC3 basic shit look mid hard at the most lol.
Pfft. If DoA is for scrubs then scrubs shouldn’t have been getting slapped around like they were. I’m probably still in the top 5% as far as win % is concerned on DoA4 (I know people… I know).
And of course I’m serious. That’s how I made my current Marvel teams lol, I just made them work. You never noticed all my characters matched? Haha
The order of my teams (primary, secondary, etc) is based on my favoratism towards characters; the order within those teams I just base off who I like where (though you’d probably find I make sure my third char has reasonable health). But if I can’t make the team match, I won’t put em together at all lol.
DoA3 > DoAU imo (Not by a large margin, but I still like it a tad better), but 4 was definitely the red head of the series; don’t think it was a bad game tho. With that said, I’ve been expecting DoA5 to suck for the past 2 years. I have ZERO faith in Team Ninja sans-Itagaki. Ninja Gaiden 3 is already looking like absolute trash.
You honestly dont know what you are talking about.If Im not mistaken, all it takes to play any fighting game is “kick here, punch there”. You talking about SCRUBS, not the gameplay. Btw if you are getting hit 7 times str8 with a punch… you need yo ass beat. I dont remember anyone speaking about MVC3 combos being harder than DOA.Combos dont make a game any more or less scrubby.
Really? I dunno, I prefer DOAU outta those two too lol. DOA4 was more noob friendly than the others, but just like any other game…if you know what you’re doing…noob tactics won’t work against you. It feels like TN is getting to the point that they don’t care what they throw out as long as it’s SOMETHING…and I PRAY…no projectiles will be added to the game. It seems they’re slowly but surely losing the original DOA formula and trying to fit in too much with other fighters. I didn’t even waste my time with dimensions…so they better come strong and correct with 5 if im gonna spend my money.

Definitely agreed. Can’t say I’m surprised though. As far as I’m concerned, Itagaki WAS Team Ninja. He was the perfectionist of the group who, regardless of whether or not anyone liked it, was going to make sure something was polished at the very least. Despite what he may have decided was going to get changed about a game, it damn sure was more than likely going to function precisely as intended. Right now I’m expecting lots of dysfunctional randomness from TNin.

I did obtain a second HDMI splitter and an HDMI-to-component converter, so I kind of want to make it there to test the lag and picture quality on my setup now.
