haha, i don’t think even the japanese can make a super solid list at this point, i think it will be at least another month of tourneys, and even then it’s going to only be a basic list, not a matchup oriented list.

This might be an ignorant question but would it be a bad idea to start playing BB:CT? I know CS is around the corner but I was wondering just how significant the changes in the sequel are going to be. If it’s going to be the polar opposite of the first game I’ll just wait it out. I kinda want to learn BB since my PS2 refuses to load Melty and I want to find a second fighter.
BB:CS is Fairly different than the first game. CS is more centered on all around cast than CTs “LETS MAKE THE ZONERS WAY TOO GOOD” (I’m exaggerating but not by a whole lot) Getting Familiar with some Characters in CT might be good just to get used to the general playstyle but CS might change things for that specific Character more than not (LOL Rachel going from God tier to shit tier due to 3 or 4 nerfs in play style, or Tager going from shit tier to respectable due to 2 or 3 changes)
I’ll still say pick the game up, and read up on Dustloop, they’ll have everything you need to figure your game out in Blazblue and Blazblue CS
its less similar than sf4 to ssf4 but its still basically the same game except better
the first one is kind of ass because it doesnt have enough people on it and the entire game feels subtly wrong.
people bitch a lot about the balance too but balance is irrelevant fun is what matters and the game is fun, significantly more fun on the new one
its just fucked up it is somehow a slow fast game, cs doesnt feel like that though
its not like super where the new one feels the exact same as the old one but with 052532058942389 new characters that are irrelevant because they all suck ass anyway

Hmm… On one hand, two months isn’t that far off. On the other hand, a LOT of stuff that you learn by playing CT will transfer over to CS (especially if you’ve never played an ArcSys fighter before. Did you ever play Guilty Gear?).
For what it’s worth, Blazblue is fucking awesome. It’s definitely my favorite current gen fighter. If you decide to pick CT up, I can teach ya some stuff on XBL, just holler at me.

Yeah, I’ve yet to really invest time into an ArcSys title. Sad as it sounds, Vanilla SF4 was my first fighting game ever. I bought CT at launch but didn’t really put a whole lot of time into it. Just kinda piddled around with it for a month or two. Still, I’d like to get into the BB series. I like SSF4 and I’m going to continue playing it but I’d like to get into another series with a good player base and a tad more character-diversity. I’ll add you on Xbox Live as next time I sign on. Do you perhaps have a number that I could contact ‘GMan’ at? Or maybe an email?

Is anyone going to CEO 2010? It’s in Orlando, FL, June 5-6. We want to have a Team Bama in the regional SSF4 5v5 tourney, but are lacking a few people. Including myself, we have three confirmed players and one maybe. We’re all decent SSF4 players at best, but really want to represent Bama.

our last arcade was shut down a while ago…so unless you wanna play pacman at the galleria you’re out of luck…plus most of our players dont play until late so its not lookin’ too good for you
