DDR is a game I’ve always wanted to get into, but the official Konami dance mat is near useless on my carpet. I even considered getting a custom mat until I saw the cost. $300+? Shit, that’s like, a PS3.
As for Super, I just don’t agree with several of the mechanics and design decisions. I tried to look past them and play anyway to support the local scene, but that resulted in a “square peg/round hole” scenario and unfortunately ended up blowing up in my face. There’s an off chance I might still play it on the side, but with CS being so good, it’s admittedly slim. That, and I can already see CS sucking up a LOT of my free time–there are a ton of things I need to practice and I’ve already started coming up with ideas to test out in training mode.
EDIT: Ben, I can try to get some people together tomorrow if you’re down.
