And before you say I’m being mean or whatever plz realize that you usually have to make an (extremely serious) effort to regularly appear at tournaments and not just wait for someone to tell you and your two friends.

Me & CDeezy currently work at Anime Weekend Atlanta every year in the video gaming department. We have tournaments every year but due to the fact that their basically no cash prizes but rather items from the con (Arcade sticks, games, or anime goods), no one around here goes to it except for a few people (Ralph…whom is not really there for the tournaments but still beasts them anyway & Skitz…whom is there for the free gaming and to get away from home for the weekend). There are anime conventions around Bama as well that have gaming tournaments like Kami-Con (at Alabama University around March) and another anime con in Huntsville (don’t know the name of it)…Kami-Con’s tournaments at the time me & Skitz went were rather unorganized to some degree but free regardless.
You just have to know when their happening to get to them. Anime Weekend Atlanta is on the final weekend of September (Sept 30 - Oct 2). This year we hope to see Ralph, Nice1, & Skitz blow it up if possible at the tournaments there. If others attend, let me know cause I might be able to get people a discount on their admissions and as it stands, we only have 4 people confirmed in the hotel room that I got

i run an anime convention in huntsville called hama-con. we’ve been going 3 years and i try make sure that the game room is never bullshit. we’re having a 1 day event november 12th, and we’ll probably run marvel, and maybe ah3.
i also make it a point to have a “fighting games 101” panel at every con i run, to try and get new people to see the fun and positive aspects of playing fg for serious. a lot of the local hsv heads are going to be running the game room, and we like to have a variety of stuff in there, so if anime is your thing i hope you all will come up and see us for a good tournament and a good con. We do our 3 day event the first weekend in june.

theres like 5 people that plays lol on friday fight nights, i dont think you can stop it… well actually raph doesnt play it on friday nights, he plays it when im over and fucking around. But then again, lol is dead cus TF2 aka baby zone Wolfenstein ET is free.

@mundaney: If you’re not a pure troll, try not to be offended, but realize that the way you said it came off wrong. Any information about tournaments (in Alabama and often other nearby states) will be posted or linked. Search, or ask someone (politely).
