Looks like everyone who bothers with UMvC3 better drop Akuma to pick up Ryu, drop Wesker to pick up anybody else who can actually do damage (or at least do damage and live to potentially do some more), drop Phoenix for anyone else with teleport, prepare to rage about random Hulk combos working when they shouldn’t, stop bothering to combo mid screen with Dormammu, keep using Magneto on any team (perhaps on more of them), stop throwing out random crap hoping Haggar saves you, learn to hit confirm without Tron, and get ready for Marvel 2 Sentinel to rape the game.
All of course depending on the current severity of current crappy changes, and whether or not they realize crappy changes are crappy and make less crappy ones… but that’s probably hoping for alot.
Hopefully they do alot with that fugly ass interface though, at the very least…

I’ve liked almost every change I’ve seen with the exception of Dormammu’s nerfs and the incorrect changes to Phoenix.
Seems like the game is gravitating more towards skill actually winning more than luck.
I like that they both nerfed the time and damage of X Factor, but made it more versatile as well. I also like that perhaps in this iteration there will be viable zoning teams besides Phoenix. I’m hoping that Chris, Deadpool, and Arthur (to name a few) continue to get buffs. Maybe give Deadpool a bit more health. Also, now that you can do the pillar in the air with Dormammu, you may be able to use that to continue to air combo depending on how fast the recovery is. I can think of some sick corner resets already that might involve that.
And Sentinel DEFINITELY needed the buffs, once you get past his hyper armor launcher, then you can pretty much win against Sentinel. Plus with X Factor being nerfed, that should remove the reason people were butthurt about him in the first place.
UMvC3 looks like it’s gonna be really good as far as updates go, I just really wish they would’ve listened more to the fans as to which characters were included, not the twelve people who’ve played both a Phoenix Wright game and a fighting game.

Advertising tournaments on other forums (that you are active on) may be a good way to increase numbers, but from there, you just have to hope someONE has some dedication. GTSouth advertised in random places with flyers (apparently there was a GTSouth flyer seen at the Rave Theater which is how we found out about it), but I’m not sure it ended up be profitable.

It would be great if you guys would assist us (me?) in compiling the list of players/characters. Personally, I think it’d be beneficial to the state to know where you can find some learning experience in a matchup you’re weak in.

You should check the Huntsville facebook group (Official Huntsville Fight Game Dojo) and look at the Danisen league scores. We didn’t get to do them again last week but hopefully this week maybe we’ll resume? Either way that has some folks playing their mains.
