Right now I’m playing Super Street Fighter 4 AE, Mortal Kombat, and a little bit of Arcana Heart 3.

Ok sheriously I wanna play some AE this week. I’ve spent half the week making my “new” Marvel primary “flow” and, although I’ve gotten a damn good grip on it thanks to SOMEBODY KICKING MY ASS… ahem… I’ve got so much Wesker flow going that I might end up practicing my own teleports irl. So… some AE break would be nice. LoL and working out have been my only saviors from Marvel this week since my foot still aint basketball-ready.

I didn’t think it was that bad, it was like 60 40 or something maybe, not an ass kicking at all.
I like to play against other Dormammus too, just to see what they might be doing that I need to do.
Plus being able to beat Phoenix means you can win tournaments, so I like getting to play against her too.

It twas. I’ve got some new Dorm tech too since I switched my team up… While Dorm anchor is fun troll factor, against actual competition it’s almost a handicap imo. Worked out ways to do over 800k on 1 meter anywhere on the screen with him. Plus I took a break from my primary to actually go back and re-evaluate my second team. Turns out all this time I could have been doing 1.05 mil full screen where I was having to cut it to 800-900k. Should be able to push the damage on it a little higher too. Also sets up a free mixup situation and I THINK gives an option to do even more damage than that possibly. Havn’t quite worked out all the nuances of it yet. Also I can finally consistantly control Taskmaster’s speed well enough to anchor with him. Worked on air throw into full combo and got consistent with it and such. Also found some annoying fuckery that could potentially become very difficult to deal with with that I’ve never seen anyone else doing with him.
Oh… and I remembered the input adjustment needed to make my TAC combo work any direction after I woke up the next morning. It’s so simple I should probably slap myself.
Now the only issue is that I’ve changed up the order of a team I started playing day one, so I occasionally screw up my DHC timing because I just flat out forget that I changed the order and expect something else to happen on DHCs. But once I get the timing down again it should be golden. Shouldn’t take too long. Advantage of making all your own combos and setups is that I don’t have to figure out how to adjust my timing for a combo somebody else made.
My third team even got a little action. I’ve got good consistency with my Amaterasu combos now, minus weapon swaps (though I can do them in actual matches now). Although I at least figured out my problem with them. I was doing the weapon swap too fast and breaking the combo in the process. And since everyone on my third team have the option of starting the DHC glitch and 2 of them have the option of ending it, I’ve got easy 1 touch death options there as long as 2 meters are available if I ever decide to become a DHC glitch whore.
Those of you whom are concerned with the next GTSouth tournament can rest assured that it’s going to happen. I’m doing what I can to keep in contact with the guys who run the tournament and I’ll try my best to keep you all informed if not they do it first.
As of right now, the GTSouth shop is near completion from the photos that was posted on their facebook. I’ll get back when I have info on when it opens and when the next tournament is announced. sigh Haven’t touched AE mostly at all so I know I’m hella rusty and scrubby.
I always try to look at my team order anytime I’m about to DHC, switch in, air exchange, or anything that will bring in another character just so I know what I’m about to get. That way, you don’t have to memorize your order, you can just react.

Yeah I used to do that but since I had played the team so long I just ended up memorizing all the potential swaps that could occur with the team. I’ve started trying to remember to pay attention again, but I’ll probably have it all memorized again my next week.
Shame they reset the tallies on how many matches you’ve played with a team just because ya swap the order. I had nearly 500 matches with that team =/
Now… by Wolverine played with skill, do you mean Yun, Yang, or Wolverine? Skin swaps have always been a source of confusion regarding these things =/
I haven’t bought a game sine 2010, seems like everybody plays Marvel these days…is it even worth trying to get into Marvel this late?

Anyways, hopefully there’s a tournament in the Huntsville area soon… so i have a reason to play mvc3. I miss the old scene so much 
But at least the numbers are growing… that’s one plus. The games that are being played now… a minus.

Well there’s an anime convention going on next weekend and on Saturday there’s gonna be tournaments in SSF4, Smash Bros Brawl, and MvC3. They’re gonna try to do it starting at 2:00 p.m… Dunno if I’m gonna be able to enter since I’m doing a bunch of other stuff there/possibly running the MvC3 and SSF4 tourneys, but maybe I’ll see some of you guys there.

Well it’s worth getting into if you can just enjoy a fighting game without ragging on everything. Otherwise, it’ll probably be the most annoying game you’ve ever played.
Some people like block buttons and some people like games paced so slowly a toddler could keep up with the “action.” Some people even like games with Wolverine in the game twice. And then there are some of us who manage to like games without having to hate on other games and/or every thing about a game, even if the game, by nature, is broken. If you’re one of the latter, give Marvel a try.
And yes… I did just hate on every fighting game made in recent memory. Ya know why? Because they all suck to some extent and SFA3 owns them all. But ragging on them out of lack of preference makes for a crappy way to answer question, even if it is the most common method of answering them nowadays.
Anywho, it’s always worth trying to get into Marvel. You’ll come to find the even the people who constantly cry about it tend to keep playing it, even when there are clearly alternatives. That says alot in itself considering how many people supposedly think the game is oh so terrible.
Oh… and MvC2 was ass, so definitely don’t compare MvC3 to that heap.
