Hope I’m not interrupting anyone’s conversation here, but I’m fairly new to the area and heard this was a good place to meet up with other fighters. Not actually a native Southerner; I’m in the Air Force and stationed in Montgomery, AL. Not many fighters on base and I’m itching for some good fights. I also heard that Auburn and Huntsville are the main hubs for the fighting scene in AL, so that sucks but at least Auburn’s not a bad drive from Montgomery. I only play on 360 right now; GT is HaZarD man. Do the Montgomery folks on here meet up very often to play, and if so, are there any groups that welcome new faces?
Birmingham is also a main hub, broski.
Welcome to the community! I play on 360 too, but I very much dislike online play. I’ll still add you and give some games a shot sometime though.
I’m trying to make it a regular thing by hosting at my place. Probably won’t do something this Friday since I’ll be helping a friend move. Next Friday, I’ll probably host again and you’re more than welcome to come through.

good to meet ya sir. What games do you play? A good chunk of the crowd in Montgomery play MVC2, the other portion, including myself, play everything else like SSF4, BB, etc.
I mainly play SSF4, but I play a little MvC2, haven’t played the new BB yet but I liked the first, and also a little bit of SSFIITHDR and 3rd Strike (I suck pretty bad at this one, however).
Freesway: Sounds good, I’d much rather meet strangers from the internet in Prattville than Montgomery. There’s a few places in Montgomery I try to avoid if possible, heh. How many people usually show up on an average Friday?

Also, is Accent Core for Xbox, regular or 360? I want to learn GG, but I don’t want to use PS2 pad. Is there any exception to the whole, PS2 games lag on PS3 kinda thing?
Accent Core is for PS2 and the Wii. Im not so sure about the whole lag thing with the PS3 cuz i still have my PS2 to play on. I understand about playing on a pad though. It’s a bitch.
btw, I’m having a bunch of Smashers over tomorrow for some tacos and candy and coke and flat-chested hookers with animal ears.

Ah, ok. I could way more tolerate the Gamecube controller than the Dualshock since I play Melee and TvC so I’ll go for that, if only to learn the basics of GG.

yeah PS2 games on PS3s will always have a 3-4 frame lag (even on a CRT and if the game can use progressive scan)
