Hey, guys, I’ve gotten a couple of newcomers to this site, but whenever they log in, they can’t see any of the forums or post. Everything says “Private” or threads don’t exist when they really do.
Solution?
Oh and, gamefest today and tomorrow if any of you wanna do stuff. I still can’t find any Melty Blood guides anywhere, I guess I’ll just read the wiki about the basics.
I linked a day 1 tutorial in the thread earlier, I’ll tell you more if I stop by there after work/2nd interview tomorrow. Also, check my blog entries. I made an informative blog post about understanding meter in AA.
The LAN at UAHuntsville ended up being pretty nice. They had a Marvel 2 setup that seemed to get a lot of attention, a GG/BB setup that was getting play the entire time, and SF4 had a much better turnout than I anticipated. There were a lot of people coming through for that stuff and I think at one point I counted like 7-8 different heads taking turns playing SF4. Good games to everyone I played, all of you were really good and I enjoyed those matches I managed to get.
Let’s try and get some people together for SF4 (Probably other stuff if people are willing to bring it) tomorrow.
Yeah, feel free to show up whenever you want, guys.
I’ll re-post the address, 2565 D Mountain Lodge Circle.
Question about Melty Blood, SS. Your blog makes it seem like Half-moon has a lot fewer options than any other type. Are they really bad, or am I just mistaken?
-laggy setups (using composite video on projectors…)
-not quite enough room
-weird button mapping for the GG reload setup (yeah they didn’t play accent core and buttons slash and heavy slash were switched WTF)
GOOD THINGS ABOUT THE LAN
-players were awesome and i would like to play against you guys
-overall the general attitude of people were MUCH better than the 2007 lan
no i’m not mad but curious at certain decisions they made like having the SF4 tournament as one of the last things scheduled
Good games to the folks down at Zero’s last night. I have an extra SwapMagic DVD if one of you wants it for playing Melty. Only thing about using it is that you’re playing it from the DVD, which means game-like loading times and some minor freezes.
SS, I am… uh… technologically illiterate, but I’m gonna try getting Melty before the weekend. Gonna brush up on the combos too. What was that one game with the tank with a skull on it again?
Wes, your Hakumen is too good. It’s so dang intimidating. I don’t know if I’m supposed to camp or rushdown, but you destroy me either way.
I didn’t know there was an SF4 tournament. Are you sure you aren’t thinking of the Omegathon thing they did where the two contestants played a round of SF4 on the mainstage? idk I left at like midnight so I wouldn’t know.
If anybody wants to get together sometime this week for SF4 or anything else, hit me up. I’m now training in TvC and HDRemix so I’d be glad to play those also but of course, we can play anything people are willing to supply.
I’m alittle pissed that I had to miss the UAH event… Seems like some good players were there. Alot of the guys here in Auburn have been talking up a tourney lately. I might have to take up abit of initiative to get these guys moving along.
Yo, what’s up guys. A couple of you may know me personally, but anyway, I’m Andy. I was at the UAH event getting slaughtered in pretty much everything, and I was wearing a bright yellow shirt with my name on it. I’ve always loved fighters but never really cared about getting better since no one (that I knew of) played much better than me, and I was cool with that… Until ol’ Milk came along and started to beat the shiznit out of me in pretty much everything! (except dat Melty! LOL!) Now I wanna get serious, so help a brotha out and play some games with me up in Madison/Huntsville!!!
