Just…uh…try to come away with something from this set. Actually that team looks very anti-Sentinel. She-Hulk has instant overheads and keeps low to the ground with her slide so drowns aren’t as good. Commando’s got good mobility and has the new Juggernaut Head Crush. Taskmaster just owns Sentinel in general. So I wanna chalk this up to it being a good team used by a great player…

Hey guys i’ve been practicing myself with thor skrull and wesker. please check out my vids and give me some tips if you have the time! thanks!
i think you mainly just need some more practice, one thing that comes to mind though is that you were throwing out a lot of unsafe moves, like mighty smash which can be punished (mighty smash H is safe but it doesnt lead to anything and can still be interrupted rather easily). At one point you even did mighty spark H while the other player was right in front of you and thats a terrible idea, even mighty spark L can be punish up close because a lot of characters can just duck under it. Pretty much the only good combo starter that thor can spam and is relatively safe is air mighty strike M or H, its safe on block and can be easily follow up with launcher or in some cases even mighty smash M (although its better not to unless you’re in the corner).
You also need to learn thor’s combos (well there’s only one really), i noticed that all you do is launch them then do 1 or 2 hits into air S. Thor’s usual bnb is [cr.LH or LM, S, J. MMH xx Mighty strike xx Mighty tornado] its pretty easy to do and does good damage, you can also do mighty smash M before the launcher.
you should learn to get in with tri jump. on your match using hulk and wesker when you end the combo you don’t go for the h mighty smash and try to go for a reset. idk why you otg and then go for a standing m after.
with your skrull if you use tenderizer as an assist if you land thors bnb combo and then summon his assist along with h mighty smash you can lock them down and do mighty tornado or j. h mighty spark and then cancel it out quick to mighty tornado.

You did great man. i was particularly impressed by your mobility.
cant say that i was very impressed by that tbh, hate to say it but i dont think we’re ever going to see any truly impressive thor combos, he’s just not that kind of character.
Alot of those combos werent rly worth doing imo, like following up mighty strike with J.L xx spark xx MT is a bit harder to do and probably does less damage than a regular BnB including M smash before the launcher, and from the looks of it you have to restrict what you do before the launcher if you want to be able to land the J.L, i think that if he had done cr.H instead of M or mighty smash before the launcher he wouldnt have been able to do it. Also in some of the combos he used cr.H to juggle after air mighty strike which is a very bad idea if you ask me, it does good damage but isnt very consistent because too many factors affect whether or not you will be able to land it like height and distance you activated M strike, character hitbox etc. You’re better off just going straight for the launcher.
I did like the early XFC out of M smash into J. LMH though.

I drop some combos, and my opponents sucked, and i kinda did alot more spam…ugh…stuff with Chris, but hey, my 2 mvc3 tournament.
Tournaments are really rare in my country, so everything like this is major bussiness for us.
