The arcade of your dreams! plan it here!

Oh god.

Lyle - My apologies for drinking a shot of your scotch, btw. I overheard someone a little earlier ask “where is the vodka?” and another person reply “I don’t know, but there’s scotch in the kitchen” and I was not necessarily coherent enough to distinguish what had and had not been purchased for the night.

Sorry <3 <3 <3

You and Corey make quite a pair when you’re both all fucked up. lol

I uhh, I really don’t think there’s any good way I can respond to that XD. You’re welcome for the entertainment :razzy:

was a pretty fun drive home atleast, you guys do make a cute, sloppy drunk couple :O)

Lyle if this is how your arcade will be can i please invest in it?

BOOM SHAKALAKA

“i wanna see some sexin in this house tonight!” -lyle

Apologies to all my teammates, thats the worst playing i have ever done, MORE DUDRYU

Neiman has a pic of the two sloppy drunks making out.

well, i think the only thing that really matters at the end of the day is HOW much money the arcade makes, not why or where the money is coming from. if 80% of the arcade’s profit was contributed by the sale of soggy french fries, the sell MORE soggy french fries! if 75% of the arcade’s regular customers turned out to be 60+ aged women, than hell, start catering to 60+ middle aged women. as long as it works, why complain? money is money regardless of where it came from.

well, i never really care for the idea of having alcohol available. it was just that at the beginning of the thread, a bunch of people were pushing for an “adult-only” arcade, so i brought up D&B as an example of a place that can still be fun even with minors around.

dude, that is the whole reason why i’m pushing the whole “joint arcade with some other type of business” idea. that way if the gaming portion of the business doesn’t cut it, then hopefully the other part of the business does and compensates how ever much the arcade is lacking. since arcades are a niche market, just having an arcade alone will make it harder to attract new customers, but having 2 joint business, such as a joint arcade-bowling center should attract double the people. even people who don’t game at all and just come for the bowling will eventually get curious give the arcade a try. you have double the chance of attracting new people and double the chance of making new regulars.

Ok listen, guys, thanks for the suggestions, but this is an ARCADE. I would appreciate suggestions on how you want the atmosphere and amenities in the ARCADE. Tell me about what kind of games and cabs you want. Tell me what kind of cool little extras you want (area for recording matches is a fantastic idea and a perfect example of how we can get creative and make it a great place to be and play).
As for incorporating another business into the plan, the idea of a ramen house is the best option to me, because it’s easy, it’s clean food, and getting permits to serve alcohol IN THE RESTARAUNT is easy and cheap… and when was the last time you saw security in a restaraunt that serves beer? So, as it stands, that’s the plan…no barbershop, no fucking roller coasters, no bowling alley, it’s just going to be a fun place to kick it and maybe grab a bowl of ramen and a beer with your homies and meet some new heads. Not a big huge entertainment center with ridiculous neon lights everywhere.
The arcade is really not going to be a huge crazy thing, just a hole in the wall with all the games you want, and none of the bullshit you don’t want.

lol…that made me hella laugh.

love it

update?

update: looking for location, may have found it but i would have to buy out the restaraunt thats there now, which may or may not be a good thing…
im currently hoarding us version a 3s boards, which is nice. all the fighting games will be h2h, besides one showcase of each of the big 3. im ordering accent core so i can waste some money on a game nobody will play T_T. im buying or leasing a condo in fremont this month so that i can be down there and make sure it gets opened cuz CERTAIN ppl are mad flakey… named anthony aka bumthony aka the gay librarian.

Sounds cool!

He’s just SHY 817!

Import VF5.

Yatta

what would you plan on doing with the restaurant facility if you were forced to purchase it?

great great great stuff!!.. lets hope the place is HUGE!.. have you seen that arcade in the movie “Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture”?? When terry plays in an arcade? that place was HUGE! Just because of its size and looks, it will attract people… anyways just a thought!

another note: I see people smoke/drink at a pool joints… minors in it too… so um… if they can do it? why cant others do it?
